The valve is actuated by a vaccum pipe from the manifold side of the throttle body. When the throttle is shut, a vaccum is made by the engines natural sucking motion. So the valve without any spring would be on the point of opening precisely when the pressure was equal both sides of the throttle. It...

If i wanted *min* 700 for a car i'd maybe BIN it at 750, and start price it at 675. Then if you get the 675 bid, you don't care the bin has gone. Now this is a good one, remember my LPG 440? Start price 300, no reserve. BIN 350. Someone bids 300....bin vanishes. Car eventually sells for 500. I laugh...

Well spotted Lee.

I'm pretty sure it is.

Its well worth 300 quid...but for the record the car had done 120k and the engine 100k when i sold it.

The speedo read low because it'd been replaced - usual story.

A lot rarer than they have been.

My definatition of rare...look on autotrader, and ebay. If either doesn't have one then its rare. lol.

This week...its common - 1 on each.

Next week?

I still think a late turbo in good nic will fetch more than a celeb anyway.

Well...what other 480t could you buy on ebay today?

Minor niggles. Maybe i'd not ask 600, but i would ask 500. You forget that the turbos are rare now.

You'd just about get 700 for a late turbo in parts.

100 - Taurus
60 - Vented brakes
250 - Engine/box
80 - seats
35 - infocentre
25 - clear clusters

Thats £550..

80 - lights (dependant on condition!)
60 - electric windows.
10 - door pockets

- We're there.

Cutting springs can be legitimate. If its the open ended spiral type...cutting it would serve to lower and stiffen the car.

YOu can't do it on a dead link type spring obviously, it wouldn't seat right.

Just need to do some maths to figure the effect out before doing it.

94' Turbo - Black - Light accident damage front.

Hi Guys, Some of you might remember that i got hold of a black 94 ES a couple of years ago. - well I spent many hundreds of pounds on it, including a full turbo conversion using parts from a written off turbo I had. "Jt's Engine swap thread" under howtos. I can't find pics of when i sold the car, bu...
