Says its mechanically based on a 105e - anybody know what that is?

Pics please if poss.... How much have you moved the sensor in terms of mm or something? How many degrees do you reckon you've advanced the ignition? What are your ecu mods? Just checked on the main site and my wheels are Avior not Cetus. Thanks for the advice Dan. I got a quote of £120 to get four wheels powder coated, but first I'd have to get a set of 15" Volvo wheels and as you said that might not be that easy - plus I'd still need to get rubber... Getting close to...

As far as I know they are available in 4 stud fitment... just couldn't find a pic

I too have experience of this oil of which you speak... crankcase breather getting gunged up seems a likely suspect.

If it gets bad however it starts to penetrate through to the bottom of the throttle position sensor and I'm sure doesn't aid its correct functioning...

Sounds like the headlight relay (located in the relay box on top of the bulkhead) It's the big tall one at the back.

Should be around £20 from volvo or a lot less from a scrappy.
