What Jeff says, yes. Also, how does the slider feel? The clip came off my Bowden cable to the heater tap‎‎ last winter so I could never really select full hot. The slider feeling funny in its travel was the give away.

I think the official line isn't to set the tank to the actual size or else there'd be no reserve.

Haynes has the figure in from what I remember, it's something like 3 or 5 litres less that the 47L or 60L tank

And adjustment can be done by prising the little round plug out between the grey buttons. Insert a very thin Philips screwdriver to adjust the little potentiometer in there.
