Launch car Found!
D864 CPV (Chassis Number 507167) has been found! This was one of the Launch Cars, brought into the UK for publicity, delaer training, etc. I don't know if it was ever really lost because it actually seems to be in very good hands. This was my car about eight years ago and was running and in regul...

Re: heating
What Jeff says, yes. Also, how does the slider feel? The clip came off my Bowden cable to the heater tap last winter so I could never really select full hot. The slider feeling funny in its travel was the give away.

Looks much better on phone now and the problem I have had for years of the text box slowing down as I type has gone. Much needed and much appreciated Daniel. Thank you very much.

Re: Car mats!
Original mats had a very coarsley threaded plastic fastener which screwed to holes in the carpet. These went through slots in the mats, then the heads turned 90 degrees to lock them. They were also rubbish on the two cars I had them on. Have a look for holes in your carpet as there are probably bett...

Never managed to get a tweeter. If anyone has a working spare and is coming to the meet, could I buy it?

Not quite my cup of tea, but good luck with the sale. Is this your '88 car?

Re: 480 as part of multicar insurance?
Try getting it on stand alone Classic Car insurance. I pay peanuts to Footman James, but Lancaster and Carole Nash do it too, and many more I'm sure. Note, you don't accrue any no-claims-bonus with Classic insurance, but it doesn't really matter as it starts off cheap. It only affected me when I bou...

Re: Alternator trouble shooting
Isn't it a legal requirement? Maybe it wasn't dropped but measured now as pressure only, not reservoir quantity?

Re: Fuel tank
I think the official line isn't to set the tank to the actual size or else there'd be no reserve.
Haynes has the figure in from what I remember, it's something like 3 or 5 litres less that the 47L or 60L tank

Re: Fuel tank
And adjustment can be done by prising the little round plug out between the grey buttons. Insert a very thin Philips screwdriver to adjust the little potentiometer in there. Theoretically a pin should get the little plug bit out but I've had some that I couldn't get out without slightly disassemblin...

Re: Who to use for image uploads now discussion?
Haha, I thought all my questions had been answered with MediaFire. It seems pretty good and even has a proper BB10 app, but I can't seem to get the upload to work from my phone. Can anyone else take a look and see what they think of them? I see no image compression and direct links that work as a bi...
