Advice please.
For the first tome since I've owned it my car is running less than smooth at the moment. If I drive along at normal speeds/revs it's ok. Last week or so ccasionally misses a beat. If I accelerate hard it get's rougher before smoothly carrying on. Now it seems like it's gonna stall all the time when ...

Re: Oil specs
I'd heard a rumour that gearbox oil change was an expensive thing. If SAE80 is the one I need then that's not expensive. relieved!!

Re: Gearbox for sale.
This gearbox is still available if anyone wants it. I need to change the oil in a manual box and an auto box this summer. I've heard a rumour that 480 gearboxes are special and need special (ie expensive) replacement oil. Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?

Re: 89 turbo engine mounts
Got the mounts on an 87 car but you'd have to come and take them off! I'm going to be removing the engine at a later stage and I'll save them for you if you're not in a great hurry for them.

Re: Looking for Rear Speaker Wires
I'm currently stripping out the inside of an 87 car. No rear original wiring found. There were rear speakers (that sit in the rear pockets) but these were wired by someone.

Drivers door bin (down by the speaker) just off the car. It's in good nick, no cracks or damage. As for the rear wiper what bit do you mean? I have the whole thing available. If you want just the plastic arm that's fine. Think of some more stuff you want and I'll deliver to Bristol next time I go to...

Re: Problems With Heater Control Board
Someone sent me the instructions to fix this. It's a specific part on the circuit board that fails and needs re soldering. It looks complicated but basically you carefully remove the heater control panel, carefully open the case and you will quickly see the one that has failed. Getting it all back t...

Parts in Southampton today.
I am starting to list (on ebay) some of the stuff I've mentioned via this site. I'm smiling to myself because I instantly generate a lot of interest once I put the bits on ebay. When I've mentioned parts available to members of this site no-one seems to be interested. If you are interested in any 48...

Pair of CLEAR side repeater assemblies.
I've got some stuff on ebay at the moment which is attracting international interest. I currently have a pair of CLEAR and a pair of AMBER side repeaters available. All come with the correct fixing screw. I also include the female part of the connections with a small length of wiring just in case an...

Radio decoding.
Got a radio/cassette out of a scrapper. I was listening to it while taking off some other bits I wanted. Trouble is there was no code with it. I'm assuming when I fit it that I'll need to enter a code. Assuming the default code (oooo) doesn't work can anyone suggest a really cheap and easy way of ge...

Re: 1987 Stereo.
Got a good deal on an original radio/cassette from a J reg 440 in a local scrappy. I think this one will be close enough until I can discover exactly which one I need for the 87 car.

Got the correct harness (special order from Halfrauds) and it turns out that it's the same as from the 300 series car. If only I'd known that before!!
