That bit of trim with the red indicator on pops off pretty easily. I've never experienced your problem, but would try removing the triangular trim and seeing if this is in some way restricting movement.

Loom needs transposed with the engine. Epic job which was done on here years ago and I think never to be repeated as kt was so difficult. Connectors made off after going through holes all over the place.

Is squealing not a loose belt?

Volvo dealer for washer jet? They used to have them, but it has been a few years since I have bought one.
