I once tried to help out my nephew by looking up how to look after Giant African land snails
I don't think he's ever recovered!

I took the side clusters out and worked through the holes like a gynaenacologist with spanners! Open the bonnet and turn the lights on full beam. The latch cut out stops the pop ups and you can see the long range on the garage door. I thought the two nylon wheels just did the up and down adjustment....

Had the same thing happen but it flooded down through the relay box onto the back of the fuse board! Car then started cutting out at irregular intervals. Turned out to be the fuel pump relay was full of water and general gunk/goo, replaced that and it's been fine(ish) since. Still have a o/s window ...

Forgot to tax 'erindoors car. Didn't send a change of address to DVLA and the reminder wasn't forwarded on. Took us four months to notice!! Wouldn't be able to get away with it now! Doesn't quite compare to chucking all your documents in the bin, that really is 'immeasurably stupid' - but easily don...

Thanks Steve As my brake light switch recently melted it will certainly be worth looking at the earth down by the pedals. I've been known to bust something when fixing something else. Occasionally. If it's the CEM.... you need a manual turbo, don't you? Iain ps At least no one offered me Alka Sletzer!

Plink plink!
I don't know what it's called, but the 'plink plink' noise when you indicate. Well, mine's gone a bit loopy. Especially first thing in the morning, but by lunchtime it's back to normal. Makes it's own mind up when to go off and on and at what speed. When I'm actually indicating it's fine, perfectly ...

I've just had all my brake lights fail on me. Friendly policeman told me so. Turned out to be the brake light switch on the peddle had melted! £5.29 from Volvo, and 2 minutes to replace, but................ the reason it had melted was because of a short on the loom on the boot lid, all perished an...

Rear Light clusters
For those who are interested, there's an F reg turbo in SRC at Fontwell. Someone has already bought the engine, but I noticed its got pretty good rear clusters, not too faded at all. The middle section has got a small crack in it, but otherwise there were in pretty good nick. The yard want about £6...
