Hooray, progress at last ! The new welder developed pneumonia and wont be back, two new guys tried out weren't good enough, but the one that retired has now started back part time. Holes in the boot are no more, next time he comes in he'll be starting on the wings.

Thanks for the advice on the headlining, but we've ground to a halt on the sunroof switch - the wires soldered onto it are very stiff and short as well No amount of jiggling it about at different angles produces any chance of getting it up through the hole. Even my legendary patience with fiddly job...

Not only stood outside for a long time, but vandalised as well so probably best broken. HOWEVER, you get an autographed V5 and selfies with the owner as well. Early cars had their headlamp covers painted as standard from the factory. I think one colour got painted covers throughout production... Well there were over 1200 cars there, far more than the organisers were expecting, so it was a bit chaotic. Don't know if we needed to keep the parade moving, if so we failed cos it all ground to a halt several times so we'll have to wait and see. We enjoyed the day though, met a few old friends and...

I don't think the blinds were very popular in the UK, probably not enough sun burning through the rear hatch to make it worth putting up with the rattling. We don't even see many on the French cars when we go to their meets.

New info on the Volvo600 website is that the attempt ends at 4.20, we stay with our cars until 4.30 for official photos, then we have to be offsite by 5pm so it doesn't look as though there will be time for group 480 photos afterwards.
