Hi, is the gap in the strut a 'tensioner'?... so you can tighten/slacken etc? good idea.....good job! rgrds rob Thx :) Yes at the gap it is a tensioner where you can tighten/slacken the strut, it´s just a thread at each end of the strut ( one left handed and the other one right handed ) where bolt ...

Self made strut brace
Hi Folks, I had again been a little bit busy today .. and the result is that I now have a nice strut brace for my 480 :) It´s hard to find a fitting one for a 480 here in german so I took a A3 one and did some cutting an welding ;) So that´s the result: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v475/tobi4...

At the end you see then engine temperature is at 116 degrees ... Is that not cause for concern ... or am i just too sensible?! No I don´t think that it´s too hot, when I´m driving longer time at the Motorway my Oil temp also gets this high ... sometimes even a little bit higher ;) Should be fine...

Hi Martin, The Lambda sensor normallyhas 3 wires as you wrote 2 for the heater and one for the signal, earth normally is given by the exhaust. About your propblem, did you chek if the Lambda sond gets power at the heater? probably the relais is stuck ( located behind the glove compartement ). I also...

Hi, I somewhere have a 2L flywheel lying arround .. but havent found it yet. I can imagine that the 2L flywheel has different teeth compared to the B18 one cause it was usng a Siemens ECU if I remember correctly. If I find the flywheel I´ll also have a look on how it looks ... but as far as I remem...

Hi @ all :) Hi again :) Yes you´re surely right ... 300+bhp with only two wheels wouldn´t be that much fun ... only for your tire dealer *lol* so I´m curious how the 4 wheel drive cenvertion is going to work, but at first the engine must be uo and running I thin or am I wrong ;) Hi to you again! ...

And again learned something new about the 480 and it´s adjustements :D Think I´ll give it a try tomorrow ... and have a look if it´s working ;) normally there are two connectors hanging arround at the alternator ? is it the same to just connect this two wires like the two pins at the ECU ? Cheers...
