A guy on ebay used to sell metal rear arch panels for £22 a pop. They needed a little trimming for the 480 (designed for the 440) but they could easily be made to fit. Then a bodyshop would want lot's to fit them though!

I was planning on buying one this easter but never sold my Saab 9000 so decided to keep the Saab. They are meant to be pretty fun though!

Timing belt and tensioners, water pump. Flush the cooling system of the block through as well. It's alot easier to do with the car out and it's no doubt full of gunk!

Check fuses first though. If you don't have a diagram, just remove them all one by one and check if broken

CEM is on the left hand side of the passenger footwell. It is a black box that controls all the electrical bit's in a 480. Your car will have a mark3 version. If you remove glovebox, you can see it on the left. All the relays are soldered in place though. You either need a new CEM or butcher an anot...

Ok well if the adjuster isn't working(isn't retrieving the piston) then it sounds like it is stuffed and would therefore require a new caliper. In a simialr situation on one of my ES's I just forced the piston back in with a g-clamp and then fitted the pads and then would the caliper adjuster lots a...

This is a beauty! Thats a cracking price too for a late car. Alot of people seem to be over pricing these days for distinctly average cars whereas this is a well priced beauty. Good luck! If I had sold my Saab over Easter I would have bought her, but after several long journeys in total comfort, I c...

Basically the light should come on with the ignition and then extinguish within 30 seconds of starting the car :) If left on the ignition it may go out before starting the car and will reignite once car starts and will then go out again .

It was a complete engine change I believe. This is determined by the colour of the dipstick. One colour means it's the rectified engine, the other means that it's an oil drinker. Can't remember the colours off the top of my head though

Wire the abs bulb to the oil pressure light and forget about the abs?!! Saying that though, I've had the ABS goign a couple of times recently in my Saab so I would probably miss it if it broke. I guess formula cars will determine if it's worth fixing or not though as they will be telling you the cos...

Nah never bothered with the dent. The car actually went straight through an MOT after a quick service! I couldn't believe it considering it was sat for so long! Glad your primera is still serving you :) I'm now driving a Saab 9000! Turbo and practicality!

Hey! I bought your turbo off you back in 06. Cracking little motor. Just to bring you up to speed, after a year of loyal service, she went to my brothers friend who drove it until about a week ago when Some scroat smashed the sunroof and windscreen. Now sat looking very poorly at his mums. Hopefully...

When the saab forum I was on did this, after many petitions the forum opened again for 24 hours so people could collect PM's and complete outstanding trades. All posts were disabled. If Volvo owners club have any decency, they will do similar. The saab forum was taken over by some members and detach...

Take some ear plugs? No just kidding. These cars are "ok" for refinement so they are quite comfortable and engine noise is bearable (well my old old turbo was very noisy and the latest turbo I had was a bit quieter so I guess it depends on condition) and typical swedish seats their will be no back a...
