there should be a law against this sort of thing ! Theft?! ;) Maybe phone a few metal merchants to see if they have been weighed in? If so, phone the cops and they will be able to at least get the stuff back for you. It still belongs to you. Most metal places are a bit dodge and probably a bit too ...

I think I read somewhere the alarm on the 480 was a dealer fit only. So you would buy the car and ask for the alarm and the dealer would fit the generic 400 series/other models alarm system. This does mean it should be quite easy to fit one yourself though.

I've never needed to drop the petrol tank, what are you guys doing?? @ SteveR - if you take the old unions into a motor factors to make doubly sure, they will match them up for you. As JT says I'm pretty sure they are standard 10mm ones, anyhoo, they are literally only pence each so not worth reusi...

It will wear out no quicker than other turbo cars from the factory. Because Volvo didn't want it to be too fast and wanted to keep the longetivity that volvo is known for, the turbo was underpowered from the factory. The Richmod merely realeases that extra power in a safe way. It is all within engin...

All modifications affect your insurance-even decals(!)-but only if you tell them ;) Just bear in mind that if you do have a crash and they do investigate (which has happened to a couple of friends of mine) it will invalidate your insurace, you wont get a pay out, and apprently the 3rd party can sue...

YES! just go to volvo as they only cost pence. A new sump plug is worth the extra quid or two as well as they can get corroded etc!

I have wondered this too as I see a hell of a lot of GT's for sale. I reckon Volvo eithe rmade more than 250 and the number was just a bit of sales bluff. Or once saw it mentioned that there was 250 of each colour. Either way I'm quite sure that more than 250 were made!

Only the turbo exhaust system is a bit bigger in diameter, so that won't fit.
One of the 1.7 exhausts is smaller. The one for the b18EP is thinner and won't go over the normal size pipe. Made that mistake before!

I think its the same sensor used on all 4xx, so easy to get one from a scrap car. Bit of a pain to change as they didn't make enough space to get it out without undoing the washer bottle. I managed to bend the old one out and the new one in when I did. The plastic shaft is quite flexible! If you ha...
