Re: Window Regulator Cable Detached

Hello, I would like help on how to disassemble the piece that attaches to the glass (where there is the green plastic latch that usually breaks, I can't get it out of the track) and some advice on how to replace the latch with a new one more resistant metal. Are there any repair kits on the market?...

Hello 480 friends,

Is this rear bumper support still available?
Can i contact with somebody?

Yours Berry
Hey, I'll send you a PM with his email address just incase he doesn't see this forum so often.

Note, you will need to add some rivnuts to it and also you will loose the rear tow hook.

Wow, quite a heart in mouth moment there Sylvia. As you can imagine, I sympathise. Glad you got some great help from our French cousins-- it restores your faith in humanity when things like this happen to you.

Re: WANTED: early style wing mirrors

Well it looks like 850 mirror motors are nearly identical! If you order an 850 motor, you will have to swap over the back cover, the screw hole strengthening tubes and the mirror attaching ring to use the 850 motot. Its fiddly but possible. Or, you could just rob the parts from the 850 one and make ...

WANTED: early style wing mirrors

Wanted: early style wing mirrors, that adjust up.down, left/right and generally good condition. Not worried about the colour as I will put my caps on them. Ideally from RHD car so the mirror glass is definitely correct, but can swap my questionable* mirrors in to them. (I would consider a set from a...

I had a great time although the weather did rather stop most of the 480 admiring. Good thing there was good company!

Thanks for the little freebie Sylvia and Al. It’s up on Alf’s wall:

Re: Help!! Half the electrics out after dome light shorted out.

Just a word of warning, when the trimmer did the same to my interior light, the insulation on the wiring melted before the fuse went and was damaged. It needed replaced before it could be safely used again. The wiring goes up the UK passenger side A-pillar. If it is damaged, you will need to get the...

B18E lost cold start ability

My B18E (with the stupid sensors) seems to have became very difficult to start when cold. It runs perfectly when up to temperature. When cold and finally coaxed to life after about 3-4 awful starts and stalls, it doesn’t do the fast idle thing at all. As far as I can see, the trigger for cold idle i...
