440 in Cambridge
Saw a rather tired 440 a few days ago. American driver loved it. It was his first car in the UK when he arrived 8 years ago and he has put 80,000 miles on it. It has been reliable he said. It was incredibly rusty and wont be getting MOTd in May. Shame, but it does look pretty fubared in the rear a...

Re: Seat-belt buckle
I think that when manufactured, the buckle would have been put on the belt, then the little "dot" that stops it sliding too far down the belt when it is retracted is added. I've never done the job, but I'd have thought you'd have to prise the "dot" off (destroying it in the process) in order to sli...

Re: FORUM ISSUES - Report them here
Thank you Daniel. Hope you are well mate. We have a member in the UK who was having trouble joining. Rather importantly he is working on the UK launch car (it is back on the road). His name is Keith Cooper and is from Southampton. Do you think you could have a look into what happened to his registra...

Re: 1 Feb 2018 Cambridge to Newark and back
I'm going to PM you my phone number.
If I don't spend too long there, I should have time to head half-hour further north.
My idea is to be at Lincoln for about 1430-1530 and hopefully not stay more than an hour.

1 Feb 2018 Cambridge to Newark and back
Tomorrow afternoon, I am going to travel from Cambridge to Newark and back. This is to take a look at a Volvo ECU tester which should test the impossible to diagnose early cars.
On the off chance, are there any other 480 owners on the way who fancy a quick catch up?

Hi Brinkie,
If you still need a copy, can you send me your address please? I'm going in to town today so will check the newsagent to see if they have this yet. They still had the old one out earlier in the week.

Re: screw socket /headlight adjuster
Hi John, A club member (Brinkie) has found that there is an equivalent part from BMW. In fact, it's the same part, just with a BMW number. The Volvo stock is exhausted so this is your only option; although you may be able to get old Volvo stock at inflated prices-- you don't need to pay now you kn...
