Re: Wanted: Engine bay loom
Hiya.. I don't know if you still need the loom.. I know it's been a few months but I have a 1991 480 turbo automatic that is being scrapped soon.... I believe all the electrics are present apart from some of the dash wiring.. I've had to take the clocks and steering column out... Half the engine has...

Re: Stress with the Es
Just checked the master relay
Voltage on terminals 30,86 and 89 should read 12v and 85 between 0-1v with ignition on...
They are all fine apart from 89 that reads 11.2v (although on the relay it says 87)
These are readings with the relay off of the block..

Re: Stress with the Es
I'm starting to lose the will with this car haha So I've returned to the car with the book of lies... I've always though it was something to do with the fuel.. I can only here my fuel pump after cranking.. I've checked the relays and fuses and they seem fine.. I've exchanged them as well.. No joy......

Re: Stress with the Es
Hi and thank you for the reply.. Funny you should say that as I currently have the exhaust off from the cat back.. I have a new exhaust to put on it for its MOT if I can get it started.. I will have a look at it try to take a look inside.. I might just take the lamba sensor off and give it a prod.. ...

Re: Stress with the Es
Finally managed to get to the car today... The first thing I did was check the relays under the dash.. I could hear them click when I turned on the ignition.. Swapped them with other relays from the turbo and the same thing happens.. Click when ignition is turned on and that's it.. No start.. Next I...

Re: Stress with the Es
Thanks for the reply.. That's what I thought should happen with the fuel.. It doesn't prime when I turn on the ignition either.. I will check the fuel pump relay. I have a turbo as well so I will see of the part numbers match and try swapping them. I will also try cleaning the crank sensor. The fuel...

Re: Stress with the Es
The weather was nice today so I decided to have another go at starting it.. I purchased a new battery off of eBay because the other one was not brilliant.. This one is a 680cca and a 72a capacity.. Before I tried to turn it I changed the distributor cap as the contacts on the old one were virtually ...

Stress with the Es
Hello to all... This is my first real post on the forum... I have managed to sort a lot out on the car through browsing the forum :D This is my second round with 480's in my life.. I had one 10 years ago and can honestly say it was my favourite I've ever had.. Unfortunately the gearbox decided to fa...
