Re: Saturdays mini meet.....

Another great day thanks to all our lovely members who more than make it all worthwhile. We were pleased to welcome Oli and Andres with not one but TWO two-tones for the first time. Also Richard with his gorgeous flame red GT (which he's only just bought - well done him !) Hopefully they enjoyed our...

Re: 12th May Mobile Mini Meet - Final details

Yes using the Ticknall and Repton route you would pass my house but no they won’t be stopping the parking. okey doke, we'll do that then and take our chances with parked cars. I'll be doing the usual printed routes so hopefully we won't lose anyone and leave them to the mercy of their satnav.

Re: 12th May Mobile Mini Meet - Final details

I suspect all routes around there will be extra busy. Looking at the route planner again, I assume to pass you our route would take us through Ticknall and Repton ? It would certainly be a bonus to avoid the bridge. Perhaps you will find roadside parking will disappear while the M1 is closed - that'...

Re: 12th May Mobile Mini Meet - Final details

I've just finished revising the route to take us off at J22, on the assumption that J23A will be a tad busy. Here's the new one from the route planner: M1 to junction 22 (road closed at junc. 23A) A511 to Ashby de la Zouche, straight over junction with A42 onto A511, then turn right at next roundabo...

Re: 12th May Mobile Mini Meet - Final details

Rachel has a list of facebook owners who are coming, interesting to see that one has a flame red GT so there will be a flash of fire in the GT corner ! Also our own oddballer was in his work van when he came to the meet last October but he has his flame red Celebration back on the road now. Perhaps ...

Re: My 480 life is just beginning!

You can get the heater control knobs from Skandix if you don't mind paying 9 euros each plus post. If yours are brown and gungy looking, you can sand them smooth then give a coat of grey paint.

Re: 12th May Mobile Mini Meet - Final details

The food order has gone off to the Royal, but if anyone else wants to join for the meal it's no problem, we will be in the function room which will comfortably seat quite a few more. If anyone does unexpectedly find they can come, please check out the menu and let me have your choices. It is May Que...

Re: My 480 life is just beginning!

I'm looking forward to FOUR green GTs in October, unless hubby decides they are too common and brings his turbo instead! Actually, with all the detailing you plan I think ours will stay at home out of sheer embarrassment...

Re: 12th May Mobile Mini Meet - Final details

Sadly we will be missing dcwalker and eye of ra for this one - hopefully we'll see both of them later this year. Suggestions for a Sunday morning visit for those staying over in Hayfield: dcwalker and his wife returned to the dam and walked around the reservoir last year and loved it - info online s...

Just checked, Joep does a refurb for 60 euros. Postage won't be cheap as they are quite heavy.

Re: Window Regulator Cable Detached

If you buy an aftermarket one, the 'comfort' features won't work - window won't close on the key, or open without a finger on the button but that's not really a problem for a nearside window.

Re: Window Regulator Cable Detached

Joep repairs them, but its not cheap and it has to go to Netherlands. I know someone with some 480 parts - have already asked him for the fog for you. I'll pm you contact details.
