Re: Rescue Car: R3
Key rings are very cool and part of these car’s history and new lease of life. How did it drive Norm? Did you stretch its legs on the motorway? As D C has said took it fairly steady at first but gave it some beans now and then. Cold idle is a little erratic but hoping that will settle with use. The...

Re: What Machine(s) Do You Use for Cleaning Carpets etc?
Morning Martin must be a spate of scooter attacks, a chap on Facebook had his door damaged last week by a child’s scooter. I use Supernatural cleaner and sealant off flea bay. But always wipe the seats down with my shammy when I clean the wedge. I have an old wallpaper steamer that has adaptions for...

Re: Advice Please
I don’t know D C is the honest answer. I think deep down she wants to keep it or it goes to someone who likes wedges and is prepared to restore it. I think she wanted me to make an offer but they were to decent a couple to insult. It was on Car & Classic for £2500 but wether they have removed it or ...

Real shame. How did the sellers react Norm? But don't despair Simon, a rescue car might come to the rescue!! Nice GT on the pipeline... David That was the worst bit of the day D C . They were a very genuine and nice couple who were plainly unaware of the amount of bodywork required to turn the vehi...

Re: Advice Please
Hi Simon welcome to the forum. You say the car is in Headingley,Leeds? If so I can go and have a look at it for you as I am not to far from there. I if it’s a Leeds car then I am very surprised and totally unaware of its existence. From the pictures you have posted it certainly is not a £2500 car bu...

While on the soundproofing subject what do you use? I have been looking at some stuff called Silent Coat sound deadening mat. It’s £45 for a box that will cover 20sq ft.Has anyone used this product? Looks pretty good and reasonably priced, can be used under the bonnet as well.

Re: Festival of the unexceptional 2021
I was born and raised on a farm in Suffolk. I learnt to drive on a Massey Ferguson and a Landrover, from about 10 years old. I had 3 formal lessons in a Mk11 Escort then took my test and amazingly passed! My first car was a Mk1 mini that used to fall out of gear, it cost £70 to buy it. Happy days.

Exact details unclear but the Volvo 480 appeared to have managed to unhook itself and flattened the driver. A curious aside the new owner said that the cars headlights popped up a...

Type of bolts/screws
Hi all, my plastic cover for rear hatch/petrol flap is loose. What type of screw/bolts are they that hold it. Have tried taking a picture with phone but it won’t focus! Am hoping they are Allen bolts or Phillips because of access. Don’t want to take seat out if I don’t have to.
