Re: Strange chip questions

that certainly doesnt sound like a richmod! more like a bodge job, would suggest getting a second ecu to try it with so you dont ruin your current one!

Re: Spammers

Sorry but with the recent spate of spammers, is there no way of re-instating the old forum 10 post rule about posting links? as i seem to spend more time reporting spam than reading useful threads? only reason i say this is i must of in the last 2 hours reported nearly 20 posts! However i must congr...

Re: How can I tell I recieved a genuine Richmod ?!

i know this might sound funny but you are using the right "octane" rating of petrol? should be a 95 OCTANE (dont find the more expensive and fancier stuff does much myself.), Just if the octane rating is too low, you might be suffering from pinking (pre ignition), and so therefore the knock sensor o...

Re: Vintage bike!

Nah, i prefer 2 strokes, less to fix when they inevitably do break down! Currently have a suzuki gn250 4 stroke and the engine is a right pig to do any work on, it constantly needs the valve clearances doing. The previous bike was a kawasaki ZZR250 (ex250h1) And that was even worse than the gn, it w...

Re: How can I tell I recieved a genuine Richmod ?!

If you are getting a bad fuel economy, and the richmod isnt working correctly check your lambda sensor, if this is dead or diying it will cause all sorts of mayhem! Also check your icv is functioning correctly. One other point would be are you running the volvo standard dreirc (dump) valve?? This mi...

Re: Very heavy stuttering above 2200 RPM

Check the pipes going to the turbo controller (the red/yellow/black ones, especially the red one, which if I remember rightly is the one that goes to the wastegate). 2,200 may be too low for boost cut so I may be barking up the wrong tree completely, but checking a couple of pipes shouldn't waste t...

Re: Very heavy stuttering above 2200 RPM

Lots of stuutering at higher revs would suggest to me that you have an ignition fault, check leads plugs ect, ect.
Also when was the fuel filter last done? a clogged fuel filter would also have a simmilar effect due to fuel starvation!

No cut off switch! sounds like your out of fuel or have a ignition problem. if it's in a bad place call the likes of the AA/RAC ASAP! Or get a mate to give you a tow!

Re: Light steering, wonky wheels, boo!

Sounds like you have a fault with a duff track rod throwing the tracking way out, or even worse the stearing rack has died. I would suggest take to the nearest garage and get it on to some ramps and have a good look. It might be a dead ball joint, dying wishbone. Ruddy front wheels are cursed on you...
