Re: 1991 480 ES "Williams" 2.0 16v conversion!
FIIIIINE - I'll replace it with metal... Last nights endeavours pictured - really quite chuffed with this wee welder, going great, making light work of it and surprising myself even with what I'm achieving, again it's not 100% OEM but it's good enough! (Please excuse my impertinence ) FR...

Re: 1991 480 ES "Williams" 2.0 16v conversion!
The new welder has arrived and what a great little thing to set/work, not quite got my settings 100% but nearly there! One chassis leg repaired last night so next job is to start work on inner arch/the area where the sunroof drains + stupid sponge thing once was. Following that, I'll go onto the tor...

as far as growing arms and legs on this winters budget go, I think I'd make an octopus jealous at this point... new welder and consumables inbound, make a proper job of this :wall: for more arms and legs then I'd suggest that rather than using an adjustable panhard you should put in a Watts linkage...

Re: 1991 480 ES "Williams" 2.0 16v conversion!
Just a quick question, would a Renault F4RT engine be easy to fit into one of these? I have a spare one and a naughty 460 turbo, the idea to combine the two did come up but I don't know what to look for, I know it fits in the bay with very little room, but that was floated in with a hoist. Cheers f...

I'll make you an offer for the original rear torque arms later . .. . . I assume you are getting the adjustable ones from usual supply? if any consolation I have already made some 'new' rear mounts for the rear torque arms that bolt onto the existing chassis legs, remove thin parts, replace with 1/...

Re: Volvo 2020 second record attempt.....
The 940 Cant even pull itself at 60... stick 112-1991-bhp in a 1500+ kg estate and it doesnt do much
plus! it only does 25mpg anyway, and with a 480 on tow and 4 people, tools, luggage etc, i dread to think
