Re: Missaligned bonnet.
much juggling 'might' improve things. I assume that there is limited clearance around the wiper spindle? (Left Hand Drive ?) I have same issue on RHS and reduced gap by pulling bonnet forward a little on both sides to allow a little more reduction in height. I think the wiper spindles are 'fixed' fo...

Re: Lily's transformation
Ah, the joys of fleet management eh? I think a 7mm hex bit (for handbrake adjustment, in case anyone is wondering!). Although I'd have paid good money to watch the reverse tow start.... I'd edit and suggest a 7mm 'Allen Key' to remove rear calipers A 5mm/4mm 'combo' to do the adjustment , t...

Re: Drive seals
Hi My 92 480 1.7 is due in for an mot next week I was just checking oil levels etc and noticed the lhs drive shaft is slightly wet, a small oil weep. Are these seals easy enough to get hold 🤔 I've had a quick search and couldn't see any, or are they the same as Renault it being a Renault unit ? It'...

Re: Gear linkage / leakage
Update :hopping: Seems to have fixed the leak from teh gearbox wher eit meets teh drive shaft, I'll live with the wee dribble at the shaft, cos it looks a task and a half to swap the seal for diddly gain? for info the 'thin' discs were the side of a two litre plastic milk bottle so overall maybe 0.6...

Re: My 480s so far!
Aye, that was the can of worms I reckoned lurking 'within' ruddy difficult when there are two / three layers to get at :( I managed to get teh spot welder to fix the inner section, but had to fold the short 12/15mm bit that goes in towards centre more 'parallel' to get access .. . . but progress any...

Re: Rear Torque rods
removing the bumper gives the best access. Obviously, this comes with its own issues, but I think you've already battled those! Cheers, but was hoping to 'minimise' removal of parts, ;) it was a real PITA to get the bumper back on with the tow-bar in place, mostly as i cut the VERY minimum from bum...

Has anybody bought from 'Volvo Fan' in Poland? any feedback / importation issues etc? I reckon I'll have to bite the bullet as was a comment at last year's MoT..... :( Items arrived without any real problem with customs/import etc, (from VolvoFan) other than a wee hold-up , probably due to some iss...

Re: Coloured headlight surrounds
Also if the wheel arch plastic covers were an optional extra as I haven't seen them before either! https://i.postimg.cc/9fgZZhbM/e6d062fcb23b1dbfd48cc1b7960ceafe00da1f6a.jpg nae idea, but it would be good if they also did ones for the rear , fronts are OK as can easily remove the wing, not so the r...

Re: My 480s so far!
Can of worms if that inner section of the sill/arch is flakey, there is another section also within, most likely also 'iffy' I think the 'bumpy' texture is some REALLY heavy duty stone chip, nae idea if you could apply it 'domestically' if it was even available? where the brake hose sits on fr...

Re: Washers not working
Had to remove lots of trim to get to rear of back jet, and was not possible to pull any slack through on the tubing. There was no sign of a non-return valve at this end in any case. The tubing disappears along the lower edge of the back window, which looks exactly like is illustrated in the parts l...

Re: Washers not working
I tried putting a squeezy bottle of water on the jet to back flush it, but again only got a dribble through to the valve. Any idea where the blockage might be and how to clear it? Also, does the pipe run through the sill (as implied by the parts drawing), or along the roof (as I had assumed)? I use...

Re: My 480s so far!
Hmmmm, those front adjuster plates don’t look well thought out and I’m not a fan of the rears - your now pushing spring loads through an area not designed for it…. Button heads might be a better option, if 'man-enuf'? I too am 'not a fan' of rear-coils as the load is them placed in the middle of th...
