First thing to say is if you are going to repair it rather than replace it is STOP PRESSING THE WINDOW BUTTON without the tension the wire will get tangled inside the motor very quickly and make repair much harder.

Sorry not up on shock absorbers said gas as it doesn’t have a spring, how do you tell gas or oil I would like to know?

I may well do that when I start putting everything back together but at the moment that’s a little way off. Did you use them to re-gas the pop-ups?

I’m getting a little confused reading the parts manual about the pump and hoses.

As far as I can make out the B18E didn’t have a pump till 541516 but the B18F always had it if yours is 507274 is it an F?

Sorry miss-read my parts book it’s the other way round which makes sense as my other later car also has the bracket. So up to 541515 had the clamp 541516 on had the bracket.
