These bits have been requested by the garage fixing my 480 turbo auto, B18FT engine with Bosch EZ210K electronic ignition:
full set of ignition leads (inc from coil to distributor),
ignition coil,
distributor cap,
flywheel sensor.
Please, can anybody supply some, or all?

Re: Engine Electrics
Sorry, jifflemon, I didn't make it clear. It's a B18FT engine with Bosch EZ210K ignition. The car's in the garage, has been started but ran for only a few seconds. These bits have been requested: full set of ignition leads (inc from coil to distributor), ignition coil, distributor cap, flywheel sens...

Re: Engine Electrics
The questions asked, and info provided, by jifflemon and Brinkie (thank you gentlemen) led to this: Connected a spare spark plug to the distributor, put gear selector to N and turned key to 'Start'. Engine spun over but no spark. Same actions with P selected - same results. Smelled petrol so assume ...

I wonder how many of us never think of checking the charging system?
A most useful article.
Copied for my file.
Thanks jifflemon

Engine Electrics
Been going around in circles checking topics on the forum, trying to put together a 'How To' detailing getting a non-starting car to start. No success! Has anybody got info detailing the whereabouts of the various parts of the engine electrical systems? Photographs / drawings ( / whatever) showing l...

David,
don't worry about phone numbers.
Didn't realise it was so easy to find garages on the 'net.
Thanks again.

Starting, & Running, Problems
Greetings Everybody, Still having problems with my '92, 480 turbo. Poor starting - have to catch on the accelerator and hold until the engine warms up a little. Then low (400/600) slow-running revs. High fuel consumption when driving. Can anybody recommend a garage with a 480 savvi mechanic (prefera...

Re: Guinness world record attempt......
Got home from Bruntingthorpe at 12:30. Car started misfiring on the A15, near Lincoln, and came to a final halt just outside Scampton at 19:15. RAC had no mechanics available (well; it was Sunday evening) so it was a lorry-lift the rest of the way home. It was that sort of day, really. Hoping to get...

Goody, goody!

Looking forward to meeting you all again.

Re: How to mount a towbar...
Greetings James,
thanks for the info.
However,. got things to do before I reach the installation of a tow-bar.
And it won't be until it gets a lot warmer! My garage is colder than my fridge.

Re: Battery Charging
jifflemon,
three good questions.
How old is the battery? Don't know.
How often is the car used? Every two/three days.
What sort of journeys do I do? No more than ten (10) miles.
I'll just keep removing/charging/re-fitting after & before every trip.

Re: No Fuel Gauge
Update.
Replacement Info-centre supplied by Sylvia - many thanks Sylvia.
The cold weather meant it took a couple of days to install it.
Now it is installed and working I'm in info-overload - bags of lights and stuff. I love it!
Thanks for advice and info.

Update.
Found single-wire connector wasn't (connected).
Using all my knowledge of electrical circuits; I re-connected it and all is now good.
However, I think I need a new battery.
Thanks for all the info.

Battery Charging
The charging gauge in the dash of my 480 registers in, or very near to, the red sector, all the time the engine is running.
This is, I believe, not how it should be.
Can't find any info in the forum so it's a case of 'please, has anybody got any info/ideas?'.
Many thanks.

Forgot to add:
battery holding bracket. The fixed one mounted at the outboard side of the battery.
For some reason, it's missing from my car.
