Sounds complicated - interested to see if you pull this off though...
Only dash mods I've done have been adapting a vacuum gauge from a 440/460 to fit the 480 gauge pod and illuminating the info centre selector switch.
No pics yet, but will have a go at getting some soon.

Its a bit stupid as my mate has a audi 100 and thats got a 2.0 li engine in it. I've never had the rear bumper off, but if it's like the front one then I'm thinking if the worst comes to the worst you could always weld on a couple of replacements...
