If it's just to check email and other low bandwidth things. Any mobile that you can use as a modem is fine. Just set up a pay as you go account with an ISP (Wannado, Tiscali, BT, etc) and dial up as you would with a normal phone line. It will be slow though 14.4 kbps with a normal mobile is all you'...

I'm sure Three offer a "mobile broadband" service which is 384 kbps for about £45 a month. Use a USB cable to connect the phone to the laptop and it'll be plenty fast enough to keep up.

One question still remains though... Why? :dunno:

There are little gas struts that assist the motor and keep the lights steady when they are up (look like mini versions of tailgate struts). These often wear out or start to corrode. About £19 each from a Volvo dealer and I don't think they are available elsewhere.

Have a good look at the trackrod, trackrod end and ball joint. A bent track rod seems quite possible if the wishbone is out of shape. Nothing too expensive and all reasonably easy to fix.
