I concur the distributor cap - the seal at the end of the cam shaft can leak and all sorts of gunge gets in. I had a limited edition for a while - the only time I have needed the RAC - engine conked out and the nice rac man (ex volvo mechanic) checked lots of things. the distributor was hopeless - r...

480 groove

Every day to and from work - only 3 miles but can be exciting with motorway and several other roundabouts. Kept in garage until I bought this heap off ebay (see engine turbo car from ebay,). Has anyone got a narrower garage - I have about an inch clearance either side of the mirrors and have to driv...

The plot thickens

I have written through teh ebay to advise the seller it is not considerd reasonable. Watch this space. I may even consider dismantling for spares as a last resort. Soem might say this should be a first resort. No one has commented that the car's rear wiper is upside down, see the web site on the sin...

Turbo Probs on ebay car

Just bought my first turbo 480 (Freg), I have an ES of H vintage, and drove from Derby to near Basingstoke. My ES has more power and response. Seller's definition of reasonable differs from mine. Car came to a halt at home in a minor steam cloud, amidst gurgles etc Careful phased removal of rad cap ...
