Last day on the road for my 480 :(

Unfortunatley, due to high road tax and low income etc etc, I am having to declare my 480 SORN for a few months. Not happy! Gordon Browneye wants £101 off me for 6 months tax. And as I only drive my 480 at the weekends, that amount is steep! Hopefully It'll be back on the road for August, I'm dri...

Wohoo! Spotted 2 480's in 1 day :) Red M reg and L***LFC

Spotted 2 480's on the streets of York, Monday 17th March. First one I think was a Vase Green (I'm no good with the colours) Turbo L***LFC. I'm sure this belongs to Club member Lee. I bought a spoiler off you a few months back. Second was parked on Buckingham Street. It was a red ES, M reg. My 480 i...

I believe I saw this one too. I overtook it in my works van on Monday afternoon on the M42 just before the M6. Red ES with non-clolour coded bumpers. G***EJL

Nice Green 480 GT on M69 Feb 14th 10.30ish M***FJF

Spotted this morning on the M69 south, just outside Coventry. There was some kind of Volvo sticker in the back window, couldn't see if it was a club sticker or not.

Didn't flash as I was in my works van :(

I never see another 480 if I'm in mine.

Have you spotted your 480 on Google Earth/Virtual Earth

I was on the MSN Virtual Earth the other day, in some areas you can do a birds eye view rather than an overhead satelite view. Anyway looked over my old work place and spotted my 480 http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u51/phil480/sat.jpg Anyone else found theirs? (as you can tell, it's Christmas Eve...

SPOTTED: H reg 480 on M6 just after Corley Services.

Spotted this morning (fri 21st Dec) between 9.00 - 9.30 heading westbound, about a mile after the Corley Services on M6. I believe it was the petrol blue colour, H reg. I wasn't in my 480 unfortunatley, and I wasn't driving.

Latest update on my 480. It's hit 108k miles this weekend. I visited club member Lee to purchase a front spoiler off him. I got that screwed on, think I'll get it sprayed white. Also I found these storage bins on eBay: http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u51/phil480/custombins.jpg Nice and simple mod...

Spotted Nice Black 480 for sale, Abbey Lane, Leicester

Today, seen a nice Black L Reg 480 out for sale on the front of a used car dealer on A6 Abbey Lane, Leicester. Didn't catch the price.

I saw a white one a couple of months ago in the same place.

Just glad I wasn't in the 480...

Last night coming home from work in the company van (Astra), I was involved in a bit of a smashup in Earl Shilton. The traffic was coming to a halt, I had stopped but a car, 2 cars back couldn't stop in time and hit the car behind me, which then ended up hitting me. Fortunatley for me, I saw it comi...

Help! Corroded part in rear wheel arch.

I have just replaced the tyres on my 480. In the process, a part of the wheel arch has broken off due to heavy corrosion. It's the plastic bit that fixes to the bumper and holds part of the mudflap on. I'm not sure what it's called, but does anyone know a good way of repairing it? It seems like ther...

Thinking of getting a front spoiler for my ES (non-turbo)

I would like to get a front spoiler, like the turbos have. Is this an easy thing to fit, if I can get hold of one?
I assume it will fit. My 480 is a '93 ES 2.0
Thanks

Hello. Have you checked the length of the ribbon cable that runs from the switch to the back of the info centre? Sometimes the wires inside the cable become exposed, and short out. And, if you check on the circuit board where the ribbon cable attatches (behind the speedo) that there are no dry/crust...

INFO CENTRE FIXED!! :D :D :D Thanks to guitarcarfanatic and muddyfox470 for your advice. I got the clocks out, removed the triangular clip thing that holds the cable to the info centre switch, and got to the PCB behind it. I remember now, I had used the new PCB (came off a Turbo) because the 3 plast...
