Re: What do you think?
Well I've decided against the two-tone. All black is my way forwards. I'm not bothering with the clear indicators as I think the orange add something, though I can't put my finger on it. I'm toying with the idea of wiring the side of the indicators and the rear side reflectors into the DRL's, S40 st...

Re: 305 Black Metallic
scratch that 346 has more of a blue tone to it.
I've seen a V40 with a similar colour to my 480, though that was painted in 247 Mauve and it wasn't metallic just a solid colour.

Re: 305 Black Metallic
well today I decided to test a section with the 346 touch-up paint to see if it was a different colour to my car.
Well the results are that my car is likely to have been resprayed with 346 Black Sapphire/Pearl as some point as the colour matched.

Re: LED Started flashing
Well as of yesterday it has stopped working again.
I removed it again and the board was loose in the clips, however it now doesn't clip in properly. I think the resistor has heated up and melted one of the prongs that hold the board in place. And the resistor has now probably blew.

305 Black Metallic
Does anyone with experience of this colour know if under the shine of the sun the colour has a Purple tone to it. Mine does and she came with a Scratch touch-up pot of Volvo 346 which I believe is Black Sapphire or Black Pearl and wasn't available on the 480. I'm getting the car resprayed in April b...

Re: LED Started flashing
Round my way maybe it'll show the kids that it has got an alarm, then maybe they'll stop going near it.
The passenger side is now full of scratches, none of which were there when I brought it.

Re: LED Started flashing
Oh thanks for that. Yeah I just thought it was flashing a bit quick, as other cars with an LED Alarm light flash slower.
Now on to fix some more electrics

Re: Vera my sexy Black Beauty
Quick post. The passenger heated seat does actually work, tested it this evening. Replaced the boot light with a 5w (Was a 3w) The light doesn't come on and the interior lights still don't, I take it the fuse has also blown, so will check that tomorrow. I've also dropped off some spare parts to be s...

LED Started flashing
The little red LED above the black central vents in the console surround has never flashed before. I believe it should flash to show that the alarm is working and though the alarm does work (I set if off the other week by accident) the light has never flashed. Today I removed the small panel the lig...

Re: Parts Wanted
Right I now have all the necessary dash vents. The new black centre vent is missing some components but I'm hoping that mine will still have these parts and that they'll be in good condition. I no longer need the seat bolts as I have changed the seats over without removing the seat rails. I am still...

Re: Vera my sexy Black Beauty
Thanks again to Svenska Axel for some more parts and helping me to finally get my old cloth drivers seat out and fit the leather one. Ended up dismantling the height adjustment system to get the seat out, leaving the original rails in the car along with their rounded bolts. :D I should mention that ...

Re: Uprating suspension (Another one)
Yeah but I can get a set of rear KYB's for £40, hence the question about whether the Bilstein's are worth double the price. I've been told by a fellow member that they have tried both Bilstein and KYB at the rear and couldn't tell the difference between them. So I'm leaning towards some KYB's and th...

Uprating suspension (Another one)
Hi all, I've got hold of some red Koni adjustables for the front and am now thinking of uprating my suspension. I also have some rusty KYB rear shocks. They work but I doubt that they'll pass an MOT, as on one of them near enough the entire sleeve has rusted away. I was looking at replacing these wi...

Re: intermittant wiper relay
I can report that all my wipers are working as they should.
Strange design to go up for intermittent then back down through off to turn them on. And as a result I'm now the laughing stock of all my friends.

What do you think?
I've been playing around with Photoshop and I'm not the best so excuse the pic but it serves it's purpose. I'm getting my car resprayed in April and having recently received some spare wings from a two-tone it got me thinking. https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3736/12771918983_9b49cd7e1f_c.jpg I've als...

Re: intermittant wiper relay
Until today I believed that the 480 didn't have an intermittent front wipe function. As on my car it is either on or fast. I don't know if it's a fault with the switch on the throttle cable like mentioned in this thread or if its the stalk. The reason I think it might be the stalk is the there are o...

Re: Vera my sexy Black Beauty
Small update, today I acquired a stainless steel exhaust system and some Koni red adjustable shocks for the front, I also got some spare front wings, shame there from a two-tone but a spares a spare. Thanks to Svenska Axel for the parts. I'm not sure when I'll get to fit the parts. I might get the e...

Re: Making safe pre tensioners
Thanks guys for the info, I've read the topic on removing the seat covers before. Didn't think it could be done with the seats in the car. But anyway that will be as a last resort. I'm hoping that next weekend my friend can come and help remove the rounded bolts, he's going on holiday after that so ...
