pol make sure it is the right ecu you are looking at. The one (RHD) left of the drivers left foot, under the center console is what you need for a richmod.

They are cheap, around £30 I believe - even less. The 480t has an electronically controlled boost controller. The ecu can adjust boost levels (as with the richmod). Just replaced recirc valve with bosh audi tt direct fit - great improvement. The old valve was damp inside. I have a water leak I haven't yet managed to trace. I fitted to audi tt recirc valve this morning. It has made a very big obvious difference. No more fluttering and the car is more civilised to drive (less eratic between gears). Nice call ben!

why not go for a rear wheel drive 8 litre v12?

Myself also. From my searches of the site, I don't think it is as simple as a bolt on replacement. I would love someone to tell me, buy this turbo, bolt it on, and it will work -> better.

I have exactly the same issue. With a k&n the sound on gear change is obvious. With the standard filter it was not audible. I would like to change the recirc valve. vagparts.co.uk doesnt seem to load.
