Couple of thoughts from me: 1) Have you tested the starter independently from the ignition switch? Take +ive feed from the battery and try the solenoid. The Green Man Inn on the A43 near Silverstone currently has a car friendly landlord, who's happy to reserve a sizeable chunk of parking spaces for clubs. The pub is quite nice too!

Frankly, it's better to have one sorted car and THEN a project, than 2 projects that are both getting you down.

I'm guessing you'll have the whole bottom end balanced with Pulley and flywheel in place?

Is there baffling in the sump as standard?

Does the crank pulley not have a harmonic balancer in it?

Any more details on the white one for sale?
