Volvo 480 Club Europe

Took your advice and bravely forced it back to it's correct position. I checked all the lugs and they all seem to be fine. Dunno what made it pop out!! Lata.

One of my mirrors has got a problem! The glass seems to have come away from the motor. I can't see how it was attached in the first place. Does anyone have any advice about putting it back where it should be? It's held in by the wires at the moment!! Cheers.

Dizzy cap and rotor arm off the '92 Turbo. It was idling very rough. Ok at 3000+ revs though. No idea how given this is what I saw when I took the cap/arm off.

I want to post a picture. I thought I'd done it right but NOOOOOOOO! Can someone remind me how to do it please??

My Turbo has been running severely rough at idle. Had a look round and nticed the dizzy cap was cracked so decided to do plugs/leads/rotor arm/dis cap. You have a PM. I don't think it's a different box. Even if it is I have a box from a 2 litre and an engine/box off a 1.7 so you choose what you want!!

Good advice Chriskay, thanks. I just rang Kings Volvo in Southampton. The fella seemed a bit bemused but gave me the code for the radio I took off a scrap 440 and the code for my own 480 radio already in the car. All I needed to give him were the VRN's.

Why are you taking the engine away? If the car is immaculate then sell it as is. I've got a 1.7 engine you can have if you want!

Going to change plugs/leads/distributor cap (I think they will need doing anyway) I've replaced some small pieces of hose all leading to/from the exhaust manifold as they were perished. Engine runs smooth until it's under load. Revs into the red band no problem whilst parked and whilst driving along...

I'm starting to have problems with accelerating and rough idling. I wonder if it's that. How did you find out that your problem was the lamda sensor?
