Use a cutting compound with plenty of water..

A good G3 gutting compound on a soaking wet cloth, rub the bollox outta them then protect them in a good wax and do them on a regular bassis..

Yeah mine makes the same noise, so no panic..

I would paint the inside of your arch's red or black, they look a weird colour and let the paint job down.. Otherwise spot on, good to see another one saved...

You sure your heater matrix aint leasking bud, looks like that sort of rusty dark anti freeze...

And yeah the whole dash needs to come out to clean it all properly, i removed all my dash and heater in 40 mins..
