Re: Snazzy's story

The stainless exhaust I bought from Fraser is now on Snazzy as part of her multi-million pound upgrade. When we moved her from our welder-less usual bodyshop to a much more expensive one, she visited the repairman en-route for a cambelt change (she's been off the road 2 years and it was well overdue...

Re: Lily's transformation

Sorry Fraser, only just seen this. The stainless exhaust I bought from you is now on Snazzy so I'll pop a bit on her thread about it.

Re: 2005 Lincolnshire Meet Photos.

Can't remember if I ever told you or not, I used to own "M523 XSC" celebration number 033, flame red manual, see below for the only picture I have Thanks Fraser, every snippet helps paint the picture. Pity I can't find a way to access chassis numbers online, but if the car has been scrapped, dvla h...

Re: 2005 Lincolnshire Meet Photos.

Slightly tenuous, but trust me the cat is just out of sight on this great shot and is about to cause chaos in about two seconds!‎

Wonderful shot, James, is the peacock yours ? Or have to moved to India ? I can just imagine the cat's utter fury at finding it in his (her?) territory

Re: 26th October Mini Meet Lincolnshire Wolds

Photos from the dash cam - very tricky this time, trying to get the stills where the cars are well positioned, wipers out the way and not too much water on the screen to distort the image. https://www.dragonflyjewel.co.uk/sylvia/2019_10/5.jpg https://www.dragonflyjewel.co.uk/sylvia/2019_10/5b.jpg ht...

maybe ?

On our journey home from the Lincolnshire meet, a camera car (as in streetview type camera) was making sedate progress around a roundabout. Al had already gone round, so I hung back and sure enough the cameras took the same exit and ended up between us. I followed it for a while, thinking if the cam...

Re: 26th October Mini Meet Lincolnshire Wolds

Sorry, my mistake, it's the 440 seal - it'll be too long and quite tricky to cut neatly, but it has an extra lip which is not present on ours. Well worth changing. Not sure if a 460 one will be long enough.

Re: 26th October Mini Meet Lincolnshire Wolds

I'm certainly hoping Lily's was from the window, I did leave it open in the rain a couple of times. Her boot is still totally dry - after all the rear end leaks I had with Snazzy years ago, all our 480's now have 460 rear hatch seals which work so much better. The only thing is that her rear lights ...

Re: ES TT on the 'bay - Genuine Gem or delusions of grandeur?

We descended on this and had a really good look at it. First impression was of course immaculate, but then you look closer.... I checked the interior and was pleasantly surprised, the driver's bolster was 'as new' - no scuffs, no stretched stitching, no de-lamination around the stitch holes. The sur...

Re: 2005 Lincolnshire Meet Photos.

O dear, VFC is actually an S despite the colour. We have just established that dcwalker's Nilani sits very neatly in the expected position on the Celebration register - he's pleased she isn't another oddity, and I'm pleased to have another snippet of information. win-win on that one Those are defini...

Re: 2005 Lincolnshire Meet Photos.

O, how very odd that your pics were still on photobucket after all the ones that have vanished off the forum with their change to paid membership. The maroon one is interesting on two fronts. Firstly 230k is exactly the same mileage as my 2 litre, currently sitting in a much more expensive body shop...

Re: 26th October Mini Meet Lincolnshire Wolds

and here are some of mine: We made the mistake of parking under a tree, but at least we were well away from anyone else. I even didn't really feel the need to park badly, just left my wheel out ready to go in the morning. (in case you are wondering, my theory goes as follows: first thing a bloke thi...

Re: 26th October Mini Meet Lincolnshire Wolds

What a wonderful day we had - we welcomed some new faces, if only briefly in one case, and were pleased that the 'regulars' all joined us as well. Dc brought Nilani the Celebration for her first meet, and James was in one of Jiff's 'spare' turbos again. We very briefly had 11 cars at Northampton, bu...

I'm very relieved to say that I've just come in from re-assembling everything and it's all working again, so a fairly good day's work in my opinion! I'll do a write-up in my thread in due course as I found a few interesting bits and pieces. That's a relief, I'm looking forward to 4 green GTs !!! Ap...
