Re: 323 Storm grey paint

I would get a shop to mix it up themselves, using the full paint code, I ordered mine from a place near Peacehaven, I gave them the full “flame red metallic 322” and that’s what they mixed up, I’ve got the full paint ready to go on the whole car, and I got some aerosols made up just to touch in the ...

Are these the square pads you mean? In the middle and near the light cluster? It appears I am missing one too though next to the other light cluster!

Re: So, today was the day...

BAZ15D are the 21/4w dual filament daytime bulbs (not really interchangeable with 21/5 brake lamps) with offset pins, I believe BAZ15S are single filament, and I’m pretty sure the indicator bulbs are BA15S? Does that mean on cars with a single filament DRL, the sidelights are also 21w then? Is this ...

Re: The story of #89/480 continues...

I’m curious. In your pictures it appears that the 4w is on in one and the 21w in the other, both with the popups up. On mine as soon as you pop the lights only the 4w is used (from memory as it’s been awhile). How does yours work? I think in fairness it’s just the brightness of the photos, both sho...

Re: The story of #89/480 continues...

Had another exciting drive around Cirencester and Cricklade tonight in my little wedge! After years of owning it and working on it, it finally feels very good to finally be able use it properly! Now I am getting really impatient any time I can’t drive it!! I’m also getting horribly impatient about f...

No, they don’t seem to be aligned at all!

I can’t say I’ve had any issues with my LED plate lights to be fair!

Re: Immobiliser & central locking problems - unable to start car

Unfortunately my fix was only temporary as I tried again today and no joy whatsoever :cryhard:

At least I can disable the immobiliser with the passenger door... :(

Re: So, today was the day...

Guessing that MOT centres are turning a blind eye? I've used the LED replacements for numberplates, puddle lights etc. for a few years now. I suppose they can't easily check as they are not allowed to take anything apart, so removing a bulb would not be possible? It would seem so, as you see LEDs f...

Re: So, today was the day...

Sadly, yes, LED bulb conversions that fit in exterior lamp halogen housings are illegal to sell, fit and use on the road. This is because all replacement bulbs have to be e-marked; LED conversion bulbs cannot attain the standards as required by UK and EU law. If selling for off road use, the bulb v...

That sounds worryingly familiar - join the club!! :D One of the very first episodes of Taggart (maybe the very first?) the couple who (I seem to recall) will go on to become the victims come home and get out of a 480 - no distant shots though so you need to recognise the parts you are looking at......

Re: Immobiliser & central locking problems - unable to start car

Thought I would add an update; I removed the door card and the plastic lock cover, and I used a generous amount of contact cleaner on each connector inside the door, I tried to spray some towards their direction of the micro switches along with some silicone spray for some of the mechanicals, and s...

I’ve just gone through my old posts and updated my old photos so they show again; unfortunatel they are quite small so I will re-upload some of them here; especially seeing how far the car has come along. And seeing as I missed out the photos of the rear quarter repair! This is how the car looked be...

Not sure if I will be able to make this unfortunately, I will have to check; it does sound like a very fun day indeed though!!

I am very curious for the gains on some of the modded turbos; might be a case of sourcing an ECU for our white Turbo, me thinks :P
