Holy crap, you've had a rotten run of luck there!

I'm seriously thinking of trying to figure a way to convert to hydraulic at some point.

I jack on the rear axle.

Jack under the middle of the beam, then a stand toward either end.

The problem is the electric speedo pickup.
Most Renault stuff is cable driven.

The gearboxes can't be easily converted from cable speedo to electric.
High spec 440/460s have the same box with electric pickup, if it has an info centre, it'll probably be electric.

Are you getting fuel pump priming on cranking?
If not, maybe crank sensor?
King lead to coil ok?
Dizzy cap and rotor arm good?

On the Turbo (mine at least) that's where the abs accumulator/reservoir is.

Red ecu, older font on the clocks. I'd hazard a guess at the older type.
