Volvo Audio - What you never asked for....
I know there's probably 3 people on here that this thread may appeal too, so here's a big old brain dump all about volvo audio; A big thanks goes to DC Walker for the bulk of the research. UK SPECIFICATION 480 – STANDARD RADIO UNITS FITTED AS PER BROCHURES 1987 No reference to unit fitted as standar...

removing the bumper gives the best access. Obviously, this comes with its own issues, but I think you've already battled those!

Re: Heaters starting to sound dodgy
It shouldn't.....
I've found that 99% of the time, pulling the heater out, scooping all the dead leaves and crap out, then putting some fresh grease on the the fan bearing gives a wonderfully silent, non-squeeking heather blower.
Its about an hours work.

Re: Snazzy's story
Wish all car park spaces were that big; punish the idiots who drive stupid big cars, reward the ones who drive sensible sized ones! Although as the desire for Stupid Useless Vehicles (SUV’s) increases, along with weight, I read an interesting article that suggested older car parks may not be able to...

Exactly the same as Renault one, check the shaft size for the inner bearing though

Re: 480 turbo CC Bello
The vinyl of the door card unsticked on many places. This is why the textil card didn't fit properly in position with the plastic clips and was glued. I'll glue the vinyl again and try the fitting with the original clips but one is missing. Those clips could be better quality. https://live.staticfl...

Probably as easy to grab a sunroof from a breaker 480. Its not a sought after part, as it's normally only the hinges that fail

Re: Does this imply that my car is still covered by a warranty?
We've all dreamed that! Lifetime Care just meant that after the 3 yrs warranty expired, if you continued to maintain a Volvo dealer service history, any parts which fail in later years will qualify for a contribution from Volvo. The scheme runs on a pro-rata basis according to the age of the ...

When the stuttering starts, does the boost remain constant or does it continue to increase?
Have you checked for air leaks in the inlet / dump valves?

Re: Laurie - '94 480 GT - Racing Green Metallic
This is most excellent news! :D So, timing belt - I'm a big fan of gates, so timing belt would be: K015370XS - thats the full kit including tensioner and idler. If you've not changed the drive belts yet, consider that, you have a pair of them: 3PK595 is the alternator drivebelt and 6PK1555 is the ma...

Torque arms are wonderful to change eh? I’ve had one set take me a week to remove just one bolt, then on another car, undid the nut and pushed the bolt out!
I’ll have a look for a panhard bolt - should have one lying around

Re: B18E lost cold start ability
I have renewed the coolant temperature sensor and idle control valve, but the problem is still there. So, some questions from me. 1. Is it a b18e engine? 2. Do you know if you've PTC or NTC sensors (or tell us the last 6 digits of the chassis number) 3. Have you got an additional electric pump on t...

JKM did a similar thing - The big battle is joining the existing pipe, as it's nylon.
