If they are available, do you happen to have the ones that go at the bottom of the door interior? I need 2.

Re: FOR SALE - Genuine Volvo parts

Hi, Looking for front indicators for Volvo 480 2.0i 1995 year. Full set or at least right one. P.S. I will be very helpful if someone point me where I can look for. Currently no success at all. Best Regards, I would point you towards the nearest church to pray. Seriously, Joep might be able to help...

Re: Newbie to the 480

Hello Patrick in Ireland! Congratulations for buying your 480. What are your plans for her? Thanks!! VRT (Irish import tax) just done so now on Irish plates. Next step is to prepare the car for an NCT (like an MOT), looking at the following stage 0 items: Replace rear disks and pads Adjust rear cal...

Re: Seat-belt buckle

I will sleep better at night Seat buckle changed last week end. Turns out it was facing the wrong way, basically when the seat-belt was on it was pressing down on the thin plastic bit (the one at a 90 degree angle) thus slowly breaking it. Passenger side was the same so fixed it as well. So that you...

Re: What size wipers do you use?

Hi Jaster

Here is the thing. I bought a pair of those back in May:
BOSCH Super Plus Front Pair (SPOILER) Window/Windscreen Wiper Blades 21"/21"

They fit perfectly.

Re: pop-up lights and other electrical problems

Have to agree -a blown DRL does not, in my experience with 4 UK cars now (1988, 1992, 1995 and now 1994), stop the headlamps popping up. What does affect the headlight is the wrong bulb in the DRL fitting - it has to have the correct pin offset and Volvo is (or was?) the best source to ensure the c...

Re: how to remove the nose cone

I don't have it with me but Haynes does a manual you can find a bit everywhere for a few quids and I assume that it will be described in there. It does cover 440s as well so it is a bit big.

Re: 440 in Cambridge

440 and 460 do appear on a regular basis on Ebay and Auto Trader and it is not rare to find them with very low mileage, auto box and no more than 2 owners from new. They were v often driven by elders and well looked after.

Re: How many left....

Skip is Turbo Auto with Volvo sunroof but it does not appear as such on the V5. I did wonder what S/R stands for but I am not sure it stands for SunRoof. Maybe Super Reliable?

Re: Seat-belt buckle

Thanks for having a good look anyway :)

Now, the clip thingy, does it have to be the exact same model or are they swappable for one from another model of Volvo or anything?

Mine is broken, definitely broken.

Yeah I know. Took pics of the front as I was doing the work, no rust anywhere, the disk back plates are dirty but no rust, I can only "assume" that the front will be similar :)

I can get (at a push) why the normal ones can hardly be found, but the GTs and Celebrations?

A Celeb was always my preferred choice. This is The Alamo and we are not the Mexicans, but we just need to hang in there :)

5 Turbo/Auto on the road..........
