Fuel filter is a nightmare to do if it has not been done for a while. Never had a prob with a sump plug always come off quite easy with the right size key on a breaker bar. Good Luck

Looks fairly good to me, looks like a good genuine straight car obviously you need to see it to make sure its as good as it looks in the pics. You need to remember this is a 17 year old car and part of the interest is improving the car. @ Dan If you look at the pic with the door open you can see the...

It was an optional extra. You would need a complete kit to install it. I fitted a remote start alarm to mine which was fairly easy. If you want remote locking you also need to get a solenoid for the drivers door as there is not one fitted easy to get from the scrappy. It is an easy install to conver...

I have always used Castrol magnatec in all my cars (admittedly mostly turbos) but seems to work well. Sounds like the same problem as the golf the oil was far to low a rating modern cars seem to use a lot thinner oil then old cars so if it is a garage that mostly does newer stuff maybe just stuck st...

You would be best to get a scrap engine and drop it in easy job. I have a spare turbo bottom end. loads of 2l engines about. When did the noise appear? Friend had a golf that started knocking after an oil change muppets put the wrong oil in, Replaced the oil and all was good again.

Hi

With the rich mod it should boost off the end of the end of the red. Would say you have a prob somewhere. Air leak maybe or faulty waste gate.

Hope this helps
