Re: ABS dash light equals a problem I think!!
First you can try to retrieve the ABS faultcodes from the diagnostic box in socket 3. Here you can find the how to with codes. Often a dirty sensor tip from one of the wheelsensors is the cause.

Re: Emissions for MOT - idle CO high
It's normal that the lambda reacts differently with the good MAF. It doesn't have to adjust the fuelmixture as much as with the duf one. If the lambda has to be replaced, do this only with an original Bosch lambda. Other brands can/will give problems.

Re: WANTED~: Front Caliper pins
When I wanted to replace those pins I was told that it's not allowed to sell them seperatly from the brake bracket for safety reasons. You have to replace the complete bracket if the pins are rusted, which was the case with my pins. This is because if the pins are rusted the surface of the holes fro...

Re: Bonnet wiring
The connectors are there to discharge built up static electricity in the plastic bonnet. They are connected to the carrosserie with a screw just behind the hinges.

Re: Auxilary Gauges for sale
You can still use it in combo with the 4 pin connector. Just leave the 2 pins on the left (or the right, can't remember which side) not connected. Both gauges work on my B20F with the 4pin connector on the 6pin cluster. You still will need a oilpressure sensor&adapter though.

Re: Emissions for MOT - idle CO high
Hello, I'm desperate to get this baby through the MOT but bless it there are a few issues going on :) Can anyone shed light on emissions for a 1995 turbo model please? According to the MOT sheet from last year, it scraped through last year with an advisory about high CO at idle. The previous owner ...

Re: which engine is better
The're are offcourse the turbo B18FT. But also the B18E, B18F, B18PEP/FP. The last ones are non turbo. Those are all 1721cc. Here you can compare the differences between them. The B20F didn't change much, but the '93 B20F can use oil like an oilboat, better stay away from that one. The later '94&'95...

Re: Rear wiper
Check the wires at the point where it goes over from the roof to the rearwindow. Most of the times they get damaged at that point from opening and closing. New wire loom for the rearwindow is still available from the dealer. I had to replace it 2 weeks ago together with the window because some a.hol...

Re: heater, brrrrr!
I had the same heating issues with my 2 liter. I removed both heater hose and flushed them with a garden hose. Let the water run for a couple of minutes through both hoses so you flush the matrix from top to bottom and vice versa. Now the interior is like a sauna at temp. of -15c. That was the lowes...

Re: High fuel consuption
Well, if it is a ecu from a '94 you can't place it in a '88. Could very well explain the high fuel consumption. Be carefull when replacing the ecu always disconnect the battery beforehand to prevent a short out of the ecu!

Re: High fuel consuption
You say you replaced the ecu. Was there the same coloured sticker on top of it as the original? You should only replace the ecu with the same coloured one as the original. The ecu's changed depending on modelyear, another coloured ecu could cause all kind of problems incl. higher fuel consumption. O...

Check the contacts in the bulbholder itself for corrossion or misalignment. Mine were bended in the drl so the lamp itself didn't get any current.

I mean the green lightend cirkel around the ignitionlock. Remove the plastic cover from under the steering wheel to get at the wires.
