Driving this morning, I noticed the charging needle was way over to the right of the red sector.
I guess that's over-charging; can anybody tell me what's my next course of action , please?
My car is a turbo-auto ( don't know if that's relevant).
All help / info gratefully received.

Re: Yellow Lights
Espada & James - thank you for the clarification.
I've never used yellow headlights but I do prefer yellow for fog-lights.

Re: Yellow Lights
Somebody will correct me, if I'm mistaken, but aren't yellow headlights illegal on British roads?

Re: Scrap or restore? Honest opinions needed!
alfie 12,
Ref locked in/rusted igniter plugs - if I may add my twopennyworth.
Sometimes, if the locked item is tightened (very slightly) it 'breaks the stick' and the item can then be unscrewed.
Might be worth trying.
Nil desperandum and best of luck with your efforts.

Re: Seat lever
Does anybody have an e-mail address for Daniel?
James gave a Facebook connection but I don't do Facebook.
I need levers for both seats. The pax side one was missing when I bought the car and I snapped the driver's side last week.
Thanks.

Re: A pool 480?
I’m in - £100 would be my contribution.
Would like to chip in more but I suspect there are some heavy bills coming up on my cars.
Awaiting details.

Re: Strange Happening
Just realised I didn’t answer questions posed by arthuy & jifflemon - apologises. I can’t remember what was on the dash when the engine stopped and, afterwards, I was so surprised to see the info centre working that I don’t recall any other indications. James: I think you’re right: should re-instate...

Re: Strange Happening
Thank you gentlemen. Tomorrow’s work will comprise checking said connections and removing the dash - and I hate playing around with the dash - to sort it. I’ve been living with duff bulb, and door open, indications for a few weeks but all relevant bulbs are good and all doors are secure so I shall c...

Strange Happening
Driving home on Monday, the car’s engine stopped - just like that! (nod to Tommy Cooper). Luckily the car’s an auto so coasted to the side of the very quiet road without further trouble. Waited a few seconds and tried a re-start - go! Car’s been ok ever since. Second strange item - when the car star...

Re: Info Centre Accuracy
The range is based on average mpg over the previous 10 miles so if you've been stuck in heavy traffic for 10 miles then go to a steady 50 or 60mph the range will go up and up for the next 10 miles. I believe the smell comes when the breather under the filler cap is blocked. It also causes difficult...

Re: The waterfalls mini meet
Great day out, once the weather improved - thanks for organising it, Norm - and very informative. Example: my scissor jack, which I believed was original equipment, turned out to be as useful as the proverbial chocolate fireguard. Without Nigel’s jack, I’d, probably, still be there! Also, don’t driv...

Re: 480 for Sale
If it's a goer - I'm up for £100 for the pool car idea.
However, I've got nowhere to keep it under cover.
We've got to try to save these 480s!

Re: The waterfalls mini meet
My route will be A1079/A64/A1237/A59. I was going M62 and then through Bradford. However, if I remember correctly, Bradford is a bit of a pig to get through. I'll be stopping for some breakfast at the McDonald's at the junction of the A1273 & A59 round about 08:15. Still got to programme my Sat-Nav ...

Good evening.
Car is running reasonably well - Hull/Lowestoft & back last weekend - so, do you mind if I join you on Sunday?
By the way, whereabouts (what street/Post Code?) is the Town Hall?
