you'll also have to rotate the housings and make an actuator bracket. its a similar unit to mine. mine still has the .86 ex housing too, and not as laggy as you think, 5 psi at 3k and builds up to full boost by 4800. haz :) Full boost by 4800 revs is not laggy!!! :o  Geez i complain at mine ha...

It's too small for my current car, can use a GT2871R or 3071R minimum else the turbo wil cause surging.
Be a cracking unit the 28R for the 1.7T if you got the cash to make it fit and get it remapped.

I disagree with your original diagnosis ozturbo. More like you've got the 12v ignition and 12v live mixed up on the radio wiring. I.E you got the 12v live connected too the radio 12v ignition and vice versa So when you turn on the ignition the radio comes on but loses it memory when you turn it off ...

Is it a Garret GT28 or GT28R? The biggest problems you will have is adapting the oil and water lines to the turbo and you will need a custom downpipe to bolt on the GT28 The GT28R is a stonking turbo but cant do 460 bhp, more in the realms of 350, but it has a very low lag. :D Find out the AR of the...

It's cheaper to have a T2 rebuilt to whatever spec or you can buy it new from them, depends on your budger really. I'd recommend AET or TurboActive who did the original Hybrid. The turbo world has moved on a bit since i did mine with Garret BB turbos but install will be a bitch with those. I've just...

Mary's dishwasher stopped working so she called the repairman.Since she had to go to work the next day, she told the repairman, "I'll leave the key under the doormat. Fix the dishwasher, please, leave the bill on the counter, and I'll post the cheque to you as soon as I come home." After thinking fo...
