The Volvo badges would be different... Not sure about that idea though.

Glad that it's going ok now. Long may that continue :)

Ok, that makes sense. Non-return valves are also known as check valves by the way. There are a couple on the bay but don't know if theyd be any good... pol I used a phnumatic flow regulator designed for changing the operating speed of a ram. It is adjustable flow in one direction, and free flowing ...

Some notes on the CO setting system. You do indeed need an LED, or a very low curent test lamp. A meter will not work properly. An LED is best as it has the fastest response. I think you will also need a current limiting resistor for the LED. You can also use a dwell meter (if yours works ok with su...

The sunroof drains go to each corner of the car. IT's just a bit of plastic tube that runs down each 'corner' pillar. To gain access... Remove the trim from the sides of the roof lining, also the door rubbers (I think) you can then move the lining enough to get your hand in and remove the drin pipe ...

I think you'd need to install the engine management system from a turbo in order to do what you say. I don't think the 2.0 siemens system would add extra fuel to make use of that boost. +1 Retrofitting the LH / EZK isn't so hard. The engine swap guide tells you how to do the most of it. You need th...

Fair bit going on in there! Wow,! I spotted the new outlet on the manifold where the plug normally is, and there's an FSE over there... Oh and a big supercharger... You've fitted braids over the standard intercooler / turbo hoses, good plan! Makes me spending a few hundred on new suspension soon se...

Yes the MK3 ABS is a power assisted system, but uses the ABS pump to provide the asisstance. It is more of a power braking system, than a normal setup. It uses a pedal position sensor to provide feedback, notice you can press the pedal to the floor with the ignition switched off... All in all it's a...

If you are going to turbo the 2l then you will be wanting the older oil eating engine (red dipstick?) not the new one (green dipstick?). The older engine has oil sprays to cool the pistons, the late engines do not have them (removed to reduce oil burning). Without the cooling the pistons may well me...

Sounds good, did you re-tap connectors into the manifold for larger pipes or just reduced / increased via adapters? Got any pictures of your engine bay at the moment rpruen? Sounds very interesting! po Yep there are pictures I posted a link to the directory full of pictures... It's here if you want...

You have a recirc valve as normally used for turbo re-circ in place of the smaller re-circ? Interesting.... Is the VW one a weaker spring / smaller or anything? The recirc valve is the same as the Volvo one, but has metal parts on the end of the diaphram. The spring is if anything a bit stronger th...

I have tried a few things on my car. It's a 94 model year. Unplugging the CEM causes it not to start. The manual claims an alarm/imobiliser (must be in the CEM, as it's not a seperate box). The wires that go to the reverse light switch have a multi plug (4 pin) where they attach to the loom. If that...

I might just do that! Soooo, under boost, the vapours are drawn through the turbo, and under vacuum, drawn through the manifold yah? Yep that's it. So how about the valve next to it?! Connects to from manifold to idle regulator and has a vacuum line attached? Again it stops air going back from the ...

Thanks rpruen... So when under vacuum, the valve allows flow into the manifold from both the oil sep and by the turbo inlet at the sme time / mix? And under boost does not flow in the other direction back to the oil sep and the inlet? Under boost the flow is blocked from the manifold, but is still ...

@ Rich, Where did you get the outlet cover done for the supercharger? I'll be looking for one soon and I saw on ebay at £60  I'm looking at 50mm outlet pipe as I happen to have a massive bag of pipe. Outlet cover? You mean the inlet / outlet for the supercharger? The outlet is under the SC,...

Is there a bit of foam under the bumper where you are pouring the water? If so take it out, and the water will not go through the vent.

Another possiblility is the sunroof drains being blocked. Somehow when that happened on mine, the water ended up on the seat belts. Maybe the head lining is waterproof? I don't quite know how the water got there, but fixing the drain hoses sorted it.
