Hmmm... One of my mates has recently bought a 405td and it's had exactly the same problems as your's Rob, with the added bonus of his heater matrix going as well And our 306, don't even go there... constant banging (not knocking, too loud for that) from the back end, a whole collection of odd noises...

The sensor you changed is the correct one for the temp display Try earthing the wire that goes to that sensor (with the ignition on) if the wiring/dash is ok the gauge will max out, meaning it's a sensor fault, if it stays at the bottom then it's either the wiring or the gauge on the dash thats at f...
