1) those front shocks look like Sachs ones.... maybe they e been replaced, but that spring cup alone would be reason enough for me to have pulled it all apart! Interesting! Are they considered a decent unit? I am familiar with Sachs from their use in touring cars and the Clio Trophy but don't know ...

Re: ES TT on the 'bay - Genuine Gem or delusions of grandeur?

A bit high, but not far off the money in my opinion - should it match up to the pictures and description (especially underneath)! If those Pirelli P6000 are new then that's c.£500+ already. The amount of money and time I have put into my 480 probably totals this amount. For someone that wants a full...

Re: How to increase power on a 1992 car but while keeping as close to original condition as possible

Interesting thread! I can't keep my '92 Two-tone in London from April next year due to the ULEZ so I was considering swapping the engine to the 1.7 turbo - to create 'my' ultimate 480. That being said, I'm not really in a position to do this apart from sourcing an engine and loom, getting a couple o...

Re: Horns

Knew it! Excellent, but will any 335Hz or 400Hz do? Excuse my ignorance...! It seems these two frequencies do come as a pair (although not dual connector): https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/163719488439?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=163719488439&targetid=595627705353&device...

Horns

One of my horns has rusted to death, whilst the other is sounding fairly meek. Considering my liberal use, it would be nice to have something with a little more oomph. That being said, I like the tone of the original and I've been informed that, when they are working properly, they have decent volum...

Re: Rear Wiper Spring

The rear wiper arm on the Celebration was pretty much locked solid and the sweep was just as the OP describes - removed wiper arm, cleaned and oiled up, re-acquired the movement and hey presto!
I'll give this a go - thanks!

Rear Wiper Spring

Hi all, My rear wiper only makes contact with the rear screen for about half the length of the wiper, giving me a very small gap to look out of when the weather is bad. It seems the spring, although it doesn't look it, is lacking strength. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, does anyone know t...

Re: Bilstein B4's

On Demon Tweeks, why is it that the description of all these dampers are "Rear", or maybe I'm being dense. https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/search/shop-by/q/bilstein%20b4/vaa__vehicles_code/59171ce6af48b/ Also Jeff, could you elaborate on springs, I understand you went for Lesjofors, may I ask why?
