Has anyone bypassed any components of the cem ? Ive lost indicators ' intermittant front and rear wipers and have looked into making a separate system

The best for underneath is brushable seam sealer really ' waxoyl tends to stay sticky and you end up with everything on the road sticking to it and attracting moisture to live underneath permanently

Most primers i use are dupont and not in aerosol form as much cheaper for as mix exact amount needed and costs me very little ' i have used upol aerosol etch primer to good effect and also roller primed but that is used for a high build for filler repairs and not very good to use with metallic finis...

Yes tim that waxoyl gun sounds fine ' to prep before paint id use a scotch cloth and some degreasorand wipe with dry cloth immediately ' even after using jenolite i prefer to remove even the dead rust as a precaution ' you could use a heat on area to be primed too if air is damp

Yes be best to remove interior trim but if you can get to borrow a decent waxoyl gun they have a long flexible pipe so should be fine ' if you dont kill all the rust it will breed ' ' i shot bladt my wings and used jenolite too and no rust has come back through and that was over 3 years ago and live...

Yes from inside the car' check for any waxoyl appearing from the arch on the outside then if so that needs sealing

Yes bare metal and jenolite too and etch primer ' the rear arches need to be sealed on the inside too with windscreen sealer and waxoyl the from the inside

Hi ive been doing bodywork for 22 years and have found the best method is to cut away all the rust and replace but jenolite and a small shotblast gun is pretty good start and try and apply the primer in dry conditions ' primers are porous too so prime and paint without driving about in damp weather ...

tested the temp sensor for auxilliary water pump today cold and hot and i mean very hot and no reading whatsover 'no reading from spare either ? so suspecting that both are broke and maybe fragile sensors ?

ahh i see but still shows nothing when hot so that sounds dead too 'i have a spare ill heat that up see if changes 'cheers fella ;)

another question i have is what is the odd shaped sensor that bolts to the inlet manifold on the right hand side? aluminium sensor with two wires coming from it 'another temp sensor? i have done an ohms test and also reads 0 whether hot or cold 'thanks

managed to get a temp sensor from work off a vauxhall to try 'wired it up to volvo and started first time 'will order a new one from ebay 'thanks for all the input 'much appreciated and sure it wont be the end of my problems 'cheers

well last night i checked the resistance of temp sensor and it was 0 'had car running for approx 10 mins with few revs on and checked again and still 0 'dead ? checking the rest at weekend when i have a free day

once its running it runs all day long 'altho a little lumpy 'if i keep it say at 4k revs you can hear it missing ????????
