SteveR spares list - NOWSOLD

Reluctantly I have decided to sell my TT and so here are the spares I have accumulated over the years. These will go onto ebay when I get around to weighing each item for postage - meanwhile reasonable offers considered. The download is 2.5 Mb but has pictures and assessments. Items include new cluc...

Re: MOT fail - Call for emission gurus

I deigned to ask the mot man about temperature and the almost huffy reply was that it had been run long enough and that the second test requires 180 sec of engine running. However, the oil temp shown above is 60. I had a Suzuki WagonR that failed on emissions and when I took it to the Suzuki agent i...

Re: MOT fail - Call for emission gurus

This is the local quote
Prices start from £95 plus VAT for under 2 litre vehicles and £105 plus vat which is well on the way to a new cat so will have a think.

Forgot to post that the job went fine. Many thanks Jim. I tested the spare motor first. Access was not good due to w/w tank but moved that to help also removed apron.

Re: Offside pop up wont

Many thanks. :D
I have raised / lowered several times but gave up doing that as I find it painful due to teh combination of cramping hand and twisting in the limited space in front of the washer tub.
I will start off tomorrow trying out the spare motor.
Once again many thanks for timely advice.

Yellow Wire Query

Just finished what should have been a simple fan belt replacement. However, the alternator pulley did not line up with the crankshaft and power steering pulley (probable cause of belt failure) and the easy belt tensioner screw was sheared so I had to adjust with the old fashioned wrecker bar method....
