My new box

I've recently had a re-conditioned box put in Just slowly working it in and today was the first jaunt to the motorway. 80mph is now achieved at around 500revs lower than before. 3000rpm = 72mph in 5th. Subtle little things is the way forwards with these cars Subtle little things over a long time will have her looking so stupidly sweet that everyone who sits in your car will be impressed. To start - fix up the cloth interior with some replacements from another 480 (or get them re-trimmed/covered). ...

Koni do the red and the yellow shocks for the 480 don't they?
Apart from the adjuster - is there any difference?

forgive my ignorance and my curiosity - but are those 14" or 15" alloys?

engine not revving above 4k? sounds like the ECU is in a "back-up" mode. No experience on the ECUs for the 480s yet - but plenty on others! Often they have a "limp-home" mode or a "back-up" mode which it resorts to if its got problems with any sensors - the back up mode will replace the information ...

With the cat still in place - you've no worries with loosing exhaust pressure! :) If going for the old retro american muscle look - then you must shove a look at some of the old 4-4-2 muscle cars (4 speed manual, 4 carburettors (for v8) and two exhaust pipes. Now ignoring the fact we have a 5speed.....

Grab some ducting, a drill, a solenoid and the air-filter housing from a 1.7 carburetor 340... The airfilter from the 340 has an air duct on the front (which pulls off) with a flap that switches between air from front of car and warmed-up air from crankcase for cold starting. Originally thermostat-c...

Why ovlov only popped in a diddy turbo to the orig spec. They produced a rare thing - a turbo car with virtually no lag... magic! If you're just after the clamp for the steering column to subframe - which will have rotted to shit on /everyones/ 480 - then they're shouldn't be a difference between you're current and donor car (I stole mine off my dad's 440Si before it went to the scrappy in the sky coz he'd had a new one fitted...
