the actuator wants to hold that pressure, the std valve is just a bleed valve, when the ecu sees enough boost it bleeds off, the problem is that its probably trying to bleed but the the actuator is too strong.
so whats the prob?? surely ya dont want to lower boost??

It was a t25...yes. Matbat got around 200horses out of a t2 with the 25psi boost though i seem to remember. have you looked at compressor maps??? a t2 is out its effieciency past 18psi ;) rich apparently has a crazy cam ;) no need to find the thread. ceramic coating does allow hotter chamber temps,...

10% difference is the norm between cylinders, may be worth a gasket change.
try some halfords 20w50. green/cream metal tin. 'for older engines' :)

I also remember Rich telling me that he still had his rev limiter set at standard when he was running 254hp (I think that was also at the wheels, although I may be wrong) and 460Nm, although he did have a modified cam. I read in a post, some time back now, about how Rich managed to increase power f...

that just a hybrid vesrion of the std??? the exhaust temps will still be through the roof over a bar of boost. keep the saab turbo as it is, wont be that laggy. that nissan blower is a good compromise too, S13 type, that'll just bolt on, sort of. ideally i'd go for a nissan S14/15 turbo, bit bigger,...

that turbo is fine, should boost bout 3000. its a full t25, a smalll version to wat i run. my turbo has a .82 exhaust housing with a 60trim t3 housing, that would be 80 trim if it was a full T25 ;) i guess thats a .49 exhaust housing, even a .64 would do but a bit too laggy for most people on this s...

adjusting the actuator rod is not the best idea, can create alot of issues, best just to bin it for a stronger one.

"Ceramic coating is required unless you want to modify the piston cooling setup, but only if you plan to use more than 27 psi of boost. The reason being that the combustion chamber is in the piston, and piston heating is a problem at very high power. It gets to the point where the mixture is too ric...

the ecu starts to retard boost at 8psi and keeps retardin. the ecu doesn't interveen at 14psi, thats when the injectors are on max cycle so will start to run lean if most boost is reached. if its the ecu boost limit bein reached then it will misfire. if the car is goin flat then its prob got an rt p...

i use saab red tops with my set-up. they actually run lean at 25psi using a t28, so guess there's alot more air flow than a t25 that most of you use. idle isn't perfect but i'm not bothered as i dont idle much ;) a t34 is far to big, that's what cossie lads use as an upgrade, expect boost about 5500...

the maf reads from 0-5 volts, the map sensor just has more refined points on the fuel map, still workin with the 0-5v readout from the maf tho.
have you tried usin the original maf??
