:hopping: UP ...

Does anyone have info over the following setup :

M56 gearbox and B4194T/T2 engine (from S/V40 T4) under the hood of a 480 ?
I'm almost certain a 5 cylinder wouldn't fit but how about the 4 cylinder 1.9L 16V turbo from the X40 ?

I rebuild my rear arches using front wings of 440/460 series. Cut out the rust around the rear arches. Cut out the replacement part out of the front 440/460 wing panel. Use front-right wing to repair rear-left arche. Use front-left wing to repair rear-right arche. Your 480 will be slightly wider aft...

Havn't been able to find a topic detailing the rebuild of a rear caliper ... sorry. I paid a visit to a french forum member and he gave me some good tips. The pad adjustment was stucked on one caliper, causing me to have no handbrake but I managed to release it with some WD40. (getting the first scr...

Did you rebuild your brake calipers with the rebuild kit ? I'm looking forward to do the same on mines. Also, where did you get the rebuild kit ? If you got it from Holland, let me know, I live at 25 km from the dutch border. If you could post some explanations and pictures of the differents steps t...

Anybody got a reference for theses rear bearings ? I have a 88 turbo with no ABS and can't find one. Worse is that the partsbook doesn't even mention theses bearings but if I can manage to get a reference number, I'll be able to get one, even straight from SKF factory ... So far, I've been told to c...

Before opening the engine you should try to measure the compression in the cylinders.

It sounds like RPRUEN stopped providing the famous 'richmod' ECU ... Does anybody ever tried to use an EPROM emulator in order to tweak their ECU ? Like this stuff . Basically you load an ECU map and change it's content live with the engine running through a USB port on the box itself. Why not...

Another suggestion straight from a french site : A turbo head on a 2L block with a renault 21 turbo ECU. Detailled (in french) here . I have the opportunity to grab a gearbox from a clio group N rallycar. The price is slightly above 1000£ (1500€) which is about half the price you should normally pay for such an item. The gearbox is in fact a renault JC5 gearbox with SADEV internals. The gear ratio is about the same as on ...

Rat-look won't be nice for a 480.
An old 142 or an 121 amazone will kick ass styled like the first VW.

Italian and eastern european cars are a perfect start for a MAD-MAX tuning project
