Re: How to be as cool as DCWalker?

Thanks guys!

They are Volvo "Comet" wheels, fitted to a lot of C70's. I will ask about spacers at the Volvo specialist I'm going to put it in for a service at

How to be as cool as DCWalker?

Get a convertible C70 to go with your 480 of course! We got this beauty about a week ago for only £1200. It is mechanically pretty good but needs some work on the seats (very tired leather) and wheels (need refurb, one has a flat spot so looses pressure) to make it super pretty again‎. Looking forwa...

480 indicator-ed motorbike/sidecar

Saw one of those sidecar things (CSC FSIII, or California Sidecar Friendship III) with a 480 front indicator, on the M6 coming down from the Lake District‎!

You can download the Volvo Green Book for Bodywork from the main 480 Club Europe website‎.  ‎You might need to be logged on to view this page: http://www.volvo-480-europe.org/volvo480/downloads.php Or here is the direct link: ‎ http://volvo480.myds.me/v480eu/downloads/section8.pdf ‎ Here is an extra...

Re: external ambient temperature sensor

I would say that that looks like an intake air temperature sensor (for the engine fuelling computer), not an ambient air temperature sensor! Keep it as a spare for your car. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/5JEAAOSwQjNW879D/s-l500.jpg Where are you in the country? I have a friend on the south coast wh...

Re: external ambient temperature sensor

I think DCWalker is right and you probably have the wrong sensor. The guys on eBay have probably told you in good faith that it will fit, but are likely wrong.  It sounds like your original was open circuit (hence the very low temperature displayed-- the maximum the Info Centre can read) and the rep...

I wonder if Pirtek could help? Are they flexible hoses? Or ask at local farm machinery place as they may know a hose maker. Good luck!

Yes, he sold the next day with an advert elsewhere. I thought I would struggle but there was a lot of interest. I think I probably sold him a little to cheap but at least he's gone to an enthusiastic guy who will get the welding done.  Sad pic: https://i.postimg.cc/DzWcY83Q/IMG-20190513-132852.jpg ‎

Re: Derbyshire Mini Meet 11th May 2019

Thank you in particular to Sylvia and her glamorous assistant for organising us in to such a lovely get together. We had a great time meeting friends both old and new. We decided to continue up north to Newcastle to see some family and drove back that night. That's a good few miles under our friend'...

Very much looking forward to tomorrow's little meet. It is genuinely one of the highlights of my year.   Not much to report with my car but hoping all goes well with the old girl. Changed the indicator stalk so I can flash people today and apart from that I'm good to go! ‎ :hopping: :hopping: :hoppi...

Re: Derbyshire Mini Meet 11th May 2019

As I’ve been double booked, I’ve managed to get a slight compromise so will be joining you all for breakfast! I’ll also be dropping off a front wing which I hope will be ferried up to Martin MC, probably via someone closer to him than me! That's good news Jeff. I'll see you for at least a coffee at...
