Wanted: Leather Seats

This isn't for me but my friend Keith (who has the other Launch Car but isn't on this forum). He would like two black 480 leather seats and isn't bothered if they are the earlier black leather or the later ‎type in the Celebration. If you have the other types (Jacquard, Paris, GT, etc) let me know a...

Re: Erm, engine won't start, seems to be flooded with fuel

I missed that bit of info about the cable needing a tap at the traffic lights to get it to idle properly. In my experience, the plastic guide breaks ‎where it goes through the bulkhead and can cause the accelerator not to return to idle.

Re: Erm, engine won't start, seems to be flooded with fuel

As your left it for a month, maybe you have leaking fuel injectors? And the residual pressure from the line has bled through the injectors and filled the combustion chambers. How about you leave the plugs out until all the fuel has evaporated and then put the plugs in and try to start it? If it fire...

Re: Engine Electrics

Can you post your chassis number? Regarding Lake's: They're both about 100 and are at work a lot but can often be in different parts of the place. To fully realise what you are dealing with, imagine a petrol station that closed 30 years ago, with a scrap yard out back, which has been bombed, ran by l...

Re: Engine Electrics

Lake's Volvo have got piles of ECU's from many old Volvos so maybe you could try them? ‎01480212291  I'm no turbo expert but I think the different ECU's are often talked about in terms of their label colour (red, orange, purple, blue). It might make your search easier if you can request one by the c...

No, I'm pretty sure they'll all give you cancer if you spray them.  Wear a vapour mask (not a dust mask) and you can use the Bilt Hambler, Dinitrol LPS products safely. Add some thin gloves and some goggles for sure as well.  Spraying is the only way to ensure a decent coverage to the extremes where...
