Re: Any advice or suggestion?

Really depends on how bad the rust is and how much its going to cost. I'd recommend getting that evaluated first. Everything else can be sorted.

Re: Releasing a few horses

I have a richmod and hubby has a robou - both modified ecus. Rich stopped making them quite some time ago, and Robou has recently wound right down, so you will likely have to try to find a secondhand one. We took my turbo to a rolling road day and put her on for 3 runs with each variant of ecu which...

Re: Late Bumper Stripes?

Yep, they’re standard. They are anti-vibration pads to stop the nose cone chafing the bumper. I think there should be some more by the indicators. They fall off in time, or the bumper gets painted and they never get restored. and if there is no gap between the nose cone and bumper it's virtually im...

I'm not sure aluminium is a good idea - I suspect Volvo intended them as a sacrificial part to protect the pop up motors in the event of a gas strut jamming. As the motors are now hens teeth, I'd stick to plastic.

Re: Paris the Unicorn joins the club !

If you've read the horror story of Lily the white turbo getting flooded by storm Babet, you probably realised that Paris ended up in the garage that flooded. With storm Ciaran due just 6 days later, the worry was that the garage would flood again. We had a chat to several people in the neighbouring ...

Re: Lily's transformation

This is rather a looong story, hope I don't bore anyone. Lily was on the road in September, with no problems at all until the last week. I noticed it was taking several extra turns of the key to start her when were out shopping in Norwich. We parked in various places and luckily she started every ti...

A word of warning - make sure the screws you use aren't long enough to clamp the rear seat belts to the inside of the body, otherwise you'll fail the next mot !

Re: Scotland Mini Meet October 14th 2023

It certainly was quality, we had a wonderful day with interesting enthusiasts to chat to and cold but sunny weather. When we first arrived at the Kelpies, there weren't any 480s but there were 2 guys waiting for us. JohnO's celebration was off the road but he still came along to meet us. The other c...

Re: Coloured headlight surrounds

The dummy foglight also had no bulb holder. Talking to my brother, who was a senior design draughtsman at the Cowley works, all car manufacturers will remove the smallest items, including washers on nuts and bolts if they can. Seems really penny pinching, but then they need enough for hundreds of th...
