Re: Brave Pills included?

He says no rear lights. Good demo of of how not to sell a car in those pics. Pity we are so far away at the mo., could have gone to look if we'd been home. At least there is enough off the car to see most of the usually hidden horrors.

Re: GEAR CHANGE LINKAGES

We've had problems with the plastic bits in the selection linkage in both our 2 litres as well, our garageman did some research and found correct ones from Renault. If we were in the UK I could give you part nos., but we are sunning ourselves in Spain until the end of Feb. Hopefully you will have it...

Re: Snazzy's story

Here we are in not-so-sunny Spain, but a whole lot warmer than back home. Just before we left we dropped into the bodyshop for an update and I was delighted to find that the welding is finally finished. They had found a few more bits of rust underneath and done them, and the new inner and outer whee...

Re: New Year, New 480!

Well done Martin ! I'd been looking longingly at that one, entirely due to the red dipstick - it IS a 2 litre isn't it ? If so I can promise you a somewhat smokey exhaust with the need to keep a close eye on the oil level, but a whole lot of bottom end grunt. I've had mine since 2001 and will probab...

Re: Rescuing Eva

So, with 2019 we are almost up to date. Apart from needing a new lambda sensor, Eva sailed through the MoT, and the service 6 months later was equally painless. Al hates cleaning the Vesa wheels, so I was tasked to find a set of Pictors. Thanks to jifflemon spotting them, we bought a set from German...

Re: Rescuing Eva

Not much happened to Eva in 2018. Apart from a power steering pump little needed doing for either the service or the mot. I always have them done 6 months apart as I prefer elderly cars to be checked over twice a year rather than once. Eva went to a small Volvo meet at the Ace Cafe in west London - ...

Re: Rescuing Eva

2017 came along, and Lily had joined the fleet. By May, Snazzy was on sorn while her seats were away at the trimmers and Lily was in the bodyshop so I had Eva on the road and used her for the mini-meet. Then in June I was offered a Paris Momo steering wheel so we bought that and fitted it to Eva. ht...

Re: Low mileage Celebration for sale

I'd call it practical - cars are for driving not just for looking at (unless of course it's Etorre's Bugatti Royal)

Re: Low mileage Celebration for sale

I suppose, for someone who is going to put the car on display, original tyres on the original wheels is quite a bonus - you'd just need a second set of wheels if you wanted to drive it, rather than just have it to trailer to exhibitions.

Re: Low mileage Celebration for sale

I have been in touch with the seller and got details for the celebration register. The chassis no indicates it should probably be 342 or 343. I was able to pin this one down quite accurately as it's very close to 345' s chassis no and it definitely isn't 344. I have been told that the plaques were f...

Re: Low mileage Celebration for sale

I think the answer must be that they are willing to pay top money for better examples and probably known throughout the trade as the place to send something good.

Re: Low mileage Celebration for sale

Much more reasonable - they've put £4995 on it. If the general condition is as good as they say, it's worth every penny. History is very good. View on www.pistonheads.com or there's a video as well on KGF's own website.

Re: Wanted: Leather Seats

If anyone has any Paris seats for sale, we'd be very interested - Eva has a Paris steering wheel, and we have a set of Paris door/dash panels tucked away but not yet found any seats to go with them. Also wanted - Paris carpet, but carpets usually get left in breakers so we're not hopeful !

Re: Rescuing Eva

2016 was a memorable year for Eva. Having escaped the scrapyard and put back into good condition, we set off for Germany in her to visit my daughter and then go on to a 480 meet which had been advertised on here. It was the 30th anniversary of the 480 introduction, and a German member called Daniel ...

Re: Rescuing Eva

Eva's next treat in 2015 was a trip to the bodyshop . she had various little scuffs and scrapes and a bit of rust on one door

not bad for a 22 year old car

Re: Right Door Window + qutr glass + side mirror

oooo, no, the customer is then charged both the shipping to ebay and the onward shipping to them. Been there, done that, never again.

malcontent is in Poland, shipping from there may be cheaper than from the UK
